The New Kid

"Morning Sam, how are you today?"
Fucking brilliant, it's her.
"I'm fine Carly, as usual." I groaned.
Carly flinched backwards and slowly walked off to her friends. Friends, what a joke.

Everyone says that friends are key to survive Secondary school. If so, how am i still alive? I have never had a friend ever since i could walk.

"Oi, blondie! Still friendless?" Yelled Marley, his 'gang' behind him like helpless puppies.

"No, i made a friend. Your mum." I yelled back, walking into my classrom for Period 1.

{Time Skip to Half way through Period 1}

"Who can tell me the auther of 'A Christmas Carol'?" Asked Ms Bens.

The classroom door opened and some boy ran in, dropping his stuff at the seat next to me and sittinf down.

"Milo, you need to get here on time. It's 9:30." Groaned Ms, but she wasnt that annoyed, which was a first.

Milo bowed his head and quickly scuttered to the front of the classroom.

"Everyone meet Milo, the new kid. Sam, you shall be Milo's buddie for the rest of the week or until he gets used to the school timetable and layout."

He just kept staring at the ground, his hair in front of his eyes. Great, i'm now stuck with him. Milo's uniform is messy and looks one size too big for him. Once Ms was done blabbering on that we should 'respect the new kid' and 'not bully him' and shit, Milo walked back to his new seat and rumaged theough his bag for a clear mesh pencil case.

Milo's Pov

Oh god, oh god! This is so embarrasing! First,i'm late on my first day. Then, my uniform gets dirty! At least no one has made fun of me yet. I began scribbiling down the notes presented on the smartboard, laying them out in a neat and colorful fashion.
"Mate, no need for all the pastels. The teachers don't give a shit about your presentation." A voice whispered to me.
"Really? Oh well, i like using highlighters" i whispered back, oblivious to his acual point.
"Ok everyone, time to pack away. Pile your books on my desk and then stand behind your chair."
