Friends?

Sam's Pov

Thank fuck it was lunch time. As usual, i headed for the back corner of the canten and began eating my lunch- two pb&j sandwitches, a yogurt tube, a babybell and a strawberry jelly pot. I sat down and began devouring my sandwitches when i heard a cheery voice.
"Hello! Mind if i join you?"
I looked up and saw...him.
"Ya'know, just cause im your tour guide doesnt mean you have to stalk me everywhere i go." I mumbled through my mouthfull of peanut butter and jam.
Milo placed his tray down and sat in front of me.
"I know, but everyone is ignoring me and you seem lonely."

Lonely.

"I-I'm not lonely, your lonely!" I slightly yelled at him, loud enought to cause just two heads to meirly glace at us.
"Ok, whatever you say sammy." He responded, picking at his chicken salad.
My eyes widened. Sammy? I hid my face with my hand.
"D-Dont call me that! It's Sam or Samuel." I whispered
Milo looked up, then looked back at his salad and resumed picking at it.

Milos Pov

I wonder why i cant call him Sammy, i think its cute!
"Oi, are you even listening?"
My eyes looked up to see Sammy clicking his fingures. I tilted my head and put some chicken and lettuce into my mouth. Sam looked away and then back at me.
"You ok, Sammy- i mean Sam." I asked, as he kept looking away.

Sam just continued to pan back and forth between me and the floor. Thats odd, but i hadnt known him for long so maybe he was just a shy guy? I dont know, and i was hungry.

{Time Skip- End of the day}

"Wait up, Sam!"

I ran up behind Sammy and placed my hands on his shoulders. Sam jumped and stopped, looking at my face then at the floor.

"What, Milo?" He aggresivly asked.

"So,umm... are we friends now?"

He looked up.

"Friends? With me?"

"Well- yea! See ya tommorrow, friend!"

I jumped off his shoulders and ran, saluting him and turing the corner.
