I, thought you loved me..

Chapter 3

Charles POV
Knowing that josh is gay is a little weird, I have nothing against it, it's just my first time having a gay friend. Plus my old friend group was pretty homophobic, thank god I broke all contact with them.

Yeah I miss them, but knowing that they bullied a kid for having a gay rights pin, it's was a red flag, plus the guy was pretty cute.  I wish I knew more about him, all I know was that he was nice and kind. Had brownish hair, emerald eyes, freckles, he was adorable.

Even thinking about him makes me feel butterflies in my stomach. I may could have even dated him. If I didn't move schools. I wish I even go to know his name.

As I walk to my house I see a cafe, it was dog cafe with a husky and golden retriever as the logo. It looked interesting so I decided to inside . As soon I as I open the door a barrage of puppies and adult husky's and golden retriever push me to the ground and start to lick my face. Then a worker comes out and gets the dogs off of me. I look at them and see that's it him.

I saw his name tag it said "Daniel". And he was looking at me, but then he looked away. I got up and we both just stood there. He was shorter and his hair was fluffier than I remember.

After a little while he finally speaks

"Hi. Come in" moving out the way to let me in

"Hi" I say completely nervous as I walk inside

He closes the door and walks towards the counter getting it ready. As he does so I look around the cafe it was practically empty the only visible people were me and Daniel, and the dogs.

"So what would you like to order?" He asks looking at me. I'm able to see his face clearly, his face was a little cubby, and it was adorable. Right then and there I wanted to pinch his cheeks.

"Well what would you recommend?" I ask his just wanting to hear him talk more. His voice was music to my ears. I quickly got enamored by his voice it was soft and clear and I wanted just listen to him for hours on end.

"Well if it you first time here i would recommend a coffee, also because it's your first time here you get a free desert from out menu, you can choose what you like. he says, it seemed like he doesn't recognize me whatsoever.

"Well ok, I'll have the coffee, and do you guys have cake pops?" I ask, I love cake pops they are super delicious and I'd kill to have some.

"Yes we do, what flavor would you like and what's the size of your coffee" he says putting all the items in the little check out machine.

"Small and chocolate cake pop" I say while I put a tip in the tip jar.

"Okay name?" He asks

"Charles" I say. When I tell him my name he freezes and looks a little scared.

"Ch-Charles, as in Charles Johnson?" He says with a hint of fear in his voice.

"Yeah, that's me" I say a little ashamed.

"Why." He said. I hadn't expected him to be so straightforward, his voice sounded angry it was no longer soft.

"Why what?" I say confused but I'm pretty sure I know what he's going to say next.

"Why. Did you do nothing when those demonios, bullied me?!?"

"You just sat there and watched it happened" he says pointing at me. His eyes were starting to tear up. His voice was filled with anger.

I could tell how hurt he was. He was clenching his shirt near his heart. It was gut wrenching to hear him be mad and sad at the same time.

"I'm sorry, please believe me. I would never do that to you. I would have stopped it but I couldn't because they would have hurt me and my little brothers." I tell him

"And I would never hurt you. Even if I did I'd hate myself for it because you didn't deserve it." I tell him trying show him what I would do if was in a different situation.

"Just pay for your stuff and leave." He said with a couple tears calling from his eyes.

It pained me to see him cry. And it hurt even more that I, was the reason he was crying. It was the worst pain in my life. And I wanted it to go away.
