Getting to the office was hell. Traffic was backed up on the highway due to an accident. Once I stepped into the elevator, my mind calmed down. I didn't even know why Roger was blowing up my phone so much. Once the doors opened, Charlotte stood there. She had a cream shirt that looked from the 1800s on and black slacks. I gave her a confused look. "How did..."

She grabbed my arm and pulled me into my office. She shut the door quickly. "You have no idea how pissed Roger is." Before I could question her, she pulled out her phone. There was a video playing. It was Ashton helping me inside of his car. My eyes widened. "How long has that been up?" I asked in shock. How could someone have seen us? I thought they managed to slip away very smoothly.

Charlotte shrugged. "An hour. Didn't take long for him to see it. What were you doing?"

I ran my hand down my face. "He took me to lunch, and we talked for a bit. I got a tiny bit of his background."

She just nodded. "Better go see him before he gets even more pissed off." She opened the door and let me walk out first. I headed to his office. It felt like everyone's eyes were on me. I didn't even knock on the door when I heard him shouting for me to enter. My hand grabbed the knob and turned it. Smoke filled the office. He must have been puffing on two or three cigars before I arrived. His eyes were bloodshot. His posture was slouched. "What the hell are you doing? I never said to go on a date with him! Just to get information."

I bit my lip. "It wasn't a date. We were chased by the paparazzi and were just hiding till they left." A little white lie never hurt anyone. But in this case, it could save my ass on getting more time.

Roger smashed his cigar into the ash tray. "You better not get any smart ideas. My son could take better care of you than any stupid singer." He seemed almost jealous for John.

Anger rose inside my chest. "Your son, is not for me. I have told you this multiple fucking times."

Smoke blew out of his nostrils. "You have till Tuesday to give me that article. If he refuses to give you anything, move on. We have other celebrities who don't give us this much of an issue."

I clenched my hands. "We give everyone a chance. Everyone is different and you know this. I think you're just jealous that someone other than your son is giving me attention." Roger glared at me. He stood up and slammed his hands on the desk. "GET OUT." A sarcastic half chuckle came out as I left the room. I went back towards the elevators. Charlotte raced over to me. "What happened?"

I rolled my eyes. "Roger just being a dick. Nothing new. If he needs me, he can call me." As the bell went off. The doors opened up. I got in and pressed the button for the ground floor. As the doors closed, my eyes went to the roof. What was I going to do? I didn't want to push Ashton. He was actually slowly opening up. He might just want someone to really listen. I didn't want to lose this job. I really loved it. But was it worth going through all this trouble? I honestly could take my talents elsewhere and not deal with the harassment. But I really liked this place, and the people were great. It was just Roger that was the problem. The doors opened up and I headed for the parking garage.

Kelly was sitting on the couch drinking wine. I was having a glass of red chardonnay. We were watching a movie. I wasn't exactly paying attention to it. My mind was elsewhere. My phone lit up next to me. Grabbing it, I unlocked it. It was a random number I didn't recognize. When I pulled up the text, I knew who it was.

Sorry about today. Hope your night is a little quieter.

I smiled. He was being sweet. Kelly glanced over at me. She smirked as she swished her wine in the glass. "Who's got you smiling over there?" My eyes met hers. She gasped. "Arrow is texting you? Seriously? What's he saying?"
