My Childhood Crush

Chapter One

Jamie had just come home after graduating from Harvard Law. He got out of his car and looked at Elizabeth's family home which was next to The Reagan's. After moving his stuff back into his old bedroom, Jamie was walking around his bedroom. He wasn't sure if he should go and see Elizabeth or not as they had a pretty big fight the last time Jamie was home. Elizabeth knew that Jamie's girlfriend Sydney wasn't good enough for him. Elizabeth grew up with Jamie, he was her best friend and she was his best friend. They both ran around their gardens in their diapers, went to the same school, and even went to prom together. They did everything together. They were inseparable. Little did Elizabeth know that after their fight Jamie broke up with Sydney as he knew that she was right.

As Jamie was pacing around his room, his father, Frank, knocked on the door and slowly entered.

' You're thinking about Elizabeth' Frank said as he approached Jamie.

' I don't know what to do' Jamie said.

' Go talk to her and tell her how you feel and that you ended it with Sydney. She's your friend. she deserves to know son ' Frank said then gave Jamie a little hug. Jamie smiled lightly then got cleaned up and got dressed.

As Jamie stood outside looking at Elizabeth's family home, his brother, Danny, pulled up.

' Talk to her Mr. Ivy League ' Danny said patting Jamie's shoulder.

Jamie then went up to Elizabeth's family home and knocked on the door. Elizabeth had noticed Jamie approaching the house and opened the door then ran outside and hugged him tightly. Even though they fought the last time she saw Jamie she was so happy to see him again.

' You were right, I'm so sorry' Jamie said whispering into Elizabeth's ear. ' I should have listened to you. No one knows me better than you ' Jamie said.

' No, I shouldn't have said anything... Frank told me you broke up with her. I'm sorry to hear that' Elizabeth said.

' Yeah... It's ok it was the right thing to do' Jamie said.

Both families were watching Jamie and Elizabeth hug from the windows. They all wanted Jamie and Elizabeth to get together. They constantly teased them both about being a couple. Little did their families know how Jamie and Elizabeth felt about each other but couldn't say anything.
