Nokk was the fastest horse Red rode or had ever seen. She barely had the time to look around because everything flashed by. Not to mention that she was sitting behind Elsa on the back of this creature. She felt dizzy. Was it because of the speed of Nokk or because of the energy she felt while sitting against the person she secretly idolized her whole youth but thought she would never meet? Their energies were constantly bonding. It was undescribable for both women. Red constantly doubted if she could keep up the whole travel. But somehow she managed to hold herself together. After sometime, in the distance, she saw four pillars.
'Slow down, Nokk!' Elsa commended, and Nokk began to trot, and when they arrived in front of the pillars, he stood still.
'So that are the pillars of the four spirits.' Red noticed a little nervous.
'That's right, we are almost there. This is where I feel home.' Elsa admitted. Red looked over Elsa her shoulder. Elsa chuckled and enjoyed the bond she had been started to develop with Red. She had been knowing her only a few days, but never would have thought that she could feel so happy being with someone she had just met. Red sighed.
'I hope you can show me.' A little further, they saw a little group of people. Suddenly, Red felt her nerves growing stronger, afraid of what could go wrong. Elsa stopped Nokk.
'We can walk from here.' The women dismounted, packed the stuff Red took with her, and walked towards the camp. Red saw huts made of wood with Z-shaped doors, but the Z was in reverse. Around the tents, there were fire pits, simple benches, and things such as a cooking pot above a fire pit. The people wore woven tunic's with leather belts around the tunic and had boots of leather. This life looks really basic.
'There they are!' Ryder called and directly drew the attention of the people in the camp. Red hesitated and felt really afraid. She didn't want this attention. Elsa felt her fear.
'It will be fine, trust me.' She whispered. Red sighed and tried to absorb those words to calm down her nerves. An older woman stepped forward with long, straight, grey hair, of which the top was weaved into a braid. The group focused on her. Is she the leader of this group?
'Welcome back, Elsa. So, you are Red?' The woman greeted the Fifth Spirit and then looked at Red. Red felt relieved the woman didn't put out her hand to shake it.
'Y-yes, I am.' She stammered, feeling completely uncomfortable that everyone was looking at her. Most of the times the people she grew up with look at her was because she made a mess or caused trouble.
'I am Yelena and leader of this people, the Northuldra. We are the people of the sun.'
'It's nice to meet you.' Red lied feeling sweat dripping down her face. She tried to behave socially desirably. 'I come from a small town in the vicinity of the Black Mountain. I ran away from there, I think you probably heard why...'
'Yes, we heard, but we want to welcome you here and make yourself at home. Would you like to drink tea?' Yelena said with a warm, deep voice.
'Yes, please.'
'Come, sit down here.' Elsa said and took place on a bench close to a fire pit with a cooking pot. Red took the seat next to the Princess and sat with red cheeks, and looked around. A lot of people just continued with their chores or whatever they were doing. A small group sat down at other benches around the cooking pot. Including the young man that called when they arrived. Next to him sat another young woman. Some children stayed and played around.
'Red, that is Ryder, and she is Honeymaren. I already told you about them.' Elsa started the conversation.
'O, you are siblings, right?'
