From a rookie to a wanted woman

Better then expected huh?

In the past weeks you have done pretty much the same things as waking up early, training with ur unit, made the base your new home and doing daily tasks. It been awhile since your last mission so you had the chance to prove yourself more and more to your boys so they finally accepted and respected you, hell yes they did even so much that they could sometimes reward your thoughts and didn't need to be asked for it. Sadly you didn't saw much different ppl in the base bc every unit had their own things going on but as you least expected it Commander Graves showed up at your HQ to inform you with new mission details which was weird bc usually Sergeant Johnson would inform but you didn't questioned it further. "Hello bbb, it's been awhile" he said while leaning at the door frame "Can I talk to you for a sec, I've got some intel that involve you and my Unit" he explained, you were so concentrated in your paper work that you didn't noticed nor heard him, he announced himself again with clearing his throat which made you say "FUCK WHOS HERE??!" He started to laugh "Did I scare you? Sorry I didn't knew that you were so jumpy kiddo" still laughing at you he handed you the files with the informations "Shut up Graves and don't call me kiddo, it's Commander bbb for you" you said while putting your work aside and looking into the papers you received. "Jeez, calm down" he rolled his eyes while sitting down at a chair that was right in front of you, he began to kick his feet while waiting for your response, you then began "Alright" you sighed "soo the last mission wasn't even related with the group we found in the village?" He nodded "Yep, it was a either a trap or a dead end. I hate those terrorists but once I find them it's over for them!" While crossing his arms and looking back at you "Well I'm not sure but we got some intel from group we caught tho and it fits pretty much with the report" you said while laying the papers down to look at him, he stared at the bottom while mumbling "Yeah ofc you got something while torturing them bbb, you're really a rookie sometimes ya know? You cannot believe everything they say... they're loyal to their leaders and will take a bullet for them so naturally they will give you stuff to work with" he finished his sentence while standing up from the chair he started "Well if you have everything internalized from the report come to my HQ so we can discuss how we we gonna approach this matter" before you could even answer he left the room so you were left alone with the report and your thoughts. It was a weird interaction with him but since you didn't know him that well and haven't had worked with him you thought that he might be like this.
*AT GRAVES HQ*
"SHADOWS LISTEN UP, we've gotten a new mission to find Ryker, the terrorist who is behind of all those attacks in the Iraq and our men" he stated after you walked in "Well luckily we got support from Commander bbb, who's also familiar with this operation so she will be working with us for the time being" he finished while smiling at you. Soon enough you had everything figured out and were ready for take off at 0400.
*BEING IN THE AIR AND 10 MILES AWAY FROM THE TARGET*
"Soo bbb, right? It's nice to have you with us today" one of the shadows said quickly followed by a "she won't do much and will be only a burden for us" from a shadow behind you. You looked at him while he turned around to pretend to be useful but quickly another shadow apologized on his behalf but you couldn't care less, you know exactly of what you're capable and why you're here right now. After another 20 minutes you reached the area, it was a village, no no actually it's more like a hideout since they were only 4 buildings there. You guys landed on the ground to walk the rest while the night gave you cover and your night visions lead the way through the darkness. While getting closer to the building you say some movement in one of the houses "Stop, movement in the second store of building Charlie" you said into the mic. Graves immediately stopped and gave the order to lay down into the high grass for cover and staying undetected. Slowly you put your sniper rifle together and adjusted it while asking for permission to shoot. Graves said "yeah let's gonna blow his lights out but wait for my signal. We need to make sure that we got visual on every potential treat before they alarm everybody" "roger that" you said waiting for him to give the shoot demand. "Spotted 2 more, on 3 you fire ok?" "Yes sir!" Okay 3...2...1!" The only thing you heard were 3 muffled shoots "KIA" you said after taking those 3 guards out. "Holy shit, she's good" you heard the shadows saying while to suppress a smile. "Move" Graves said and you began to clear building Alpha,Beta and Charlie which left you now with building Delta aka the last one. While you reached the door knop Graves stopped you "watch out bbb, there's a tripwire, let my guys check it first" you were shocked that you didn't noticed it but kept quit, while the shadows could luckily defuse the explosive charge who was connected with the wire, you guys were ready to enter the Building. Graves entered the hallway while hearing a ticking so you immediately run towards him and grabbed him by his hand dragged him out moments before the bottom trap detonated. "HOLY SHIT" he yelled knowing he out ran death by milliseconds and realizing they now know that you're there to catch them. Immediately you guys were caught in a gunfire from the inside but you engaged quickly so which basically ended up with a huge loss on the terrorists side but 3 wounded on yours but finally you could enter the building and found promising informations about Ryker and his next steps
*BACK IN THE AIRCRAFT*
"Bbb, wait a moment" Graves came up to you looking a bit ashamed "I have to admit you're better than I thought and I have to thank you for saving me! Without you I don't know if it would still be existing" he said while smirking at you "well it's my duty as a soldier to protect my teammates and make sure everyone stays alive" while smiling at him you hold eye contact a big too long so you quickly turned around to avoid any weird situation between you and him. He just got back to his boys and the rest of the flight was very quite but you didn't mind it.
