𝕸𝖊𝖑𝖈𝖍𝖎𝖔𝖗 stepped into the room and the whole place was serene once again; they gave a pause and stared intently at his strange presence. Balthazar passed a jar of wine to his friend and Melchior drank all of it in a second.
"Who is ready to celebrate this season of Christmas?" Melchior cheerfully said with the empty jar uplifted.
"All hail the guardian angel of Winterfell!" Everyone cheered and chartered.
"No, my friends. Today I will not be the guardian angel, I will rather be one of the merry men of Winterfell."
"He's letting his guard down for just a day. What's the worse that could happen?" Said Balthazar.
"Play the music!"
The band of dwarves played the banjo and drums while Melchior danced with the ladies and children. He drank until he felt as though he was carrying a millstone. His stomach protruded every single moment.

Melchior suddenly felt muzzy and he appeared to be seeing a strange someone moving around the room with the appearance of an apparition. When Melchior blinked, the sight was gone."Mel, you okay?" Balthazar came and held him by the shoulder.
"Yes... I am."
"A guard who consumes too much wine is more foolish than wise," an old dwarf with beards almost sweeping the floor commented.
"He's just getting a hang of fun," Casper, another friend of Balthazar said. "With Mel being like this this Christmas, we are going to pull the pillars of Winterfell down with amusement." He was on cloud nine. "I have anticipated this year's celebration since the 26th of last year December. This is the only time of the year I feel truly alive."
"You're speaking for all of us, including Lucia. She doesn't joke with Christmas. I heard she spends a fortune on Christmas decorations every season. Her dress alone is worth the fortune of an empire. She really loves Christmas." Leeor said.
"Who doesn't? It's a time to celebrate and feel happy. There's just something to peculiar about this time of the year." Matan said.
"Who else thinks that Melchior and Lucia would be a pretty thing?" Said Balthazar.
"Oh, stop," Melchior rolled his eyes.
"But Lucia would never think of that. She wouldn't want a man to head her chieftaincy," Leeor said.
"Look, Casper is trying to fly, you better go stop him," Melchior then said, pointing straight ahead.
"How do..." They were about to ask how he would always see everything even while being distracted. Already, Casper sat on a catapult and flung himself out through the roof. His friends went to save him. This happened to be a perfect time for Melchior to find that strange, disappearing person.

He went into a quiet room and locked the door behind him. The room was dim, therefore he held up high his crystal staff and the place became bright.
Melchior strode quietly in alertness, in search of anything seemingly bizarre when abruptly, he heard a voice from behind say "hello!" He caught the person by the hand and shone the light on his face. It was Balthazar again."What are you doing?!" Balthazar hurled.
"What are you doing?!"
"Looking for you. I told you to let your guard off. What are you even looking for?"
"How did you get in?"
"I have a knack for breaking into places."
Melchior sighed, tucked his staff into his belt and walked out.
