~~Post-Crystalized~~

~~TW-Gore—Stress—Anxiety-Attacks~~

~~NOT-A-SHIP~~

After They finished rebuilding the monastery, Garmadon started visiting regularly.
Apparently, Vinny had told him he should find something more to care for since he planted Christofern.
So he decided to follow Lloyd around whenever possible.
He watched Lloyd train.
He followed Lloyd when he tried to take a walk in the forest.
He even tried to help feed Lloyd.
Emphasis on tried.
The others got a lot of laughs out of it though, much to Lloyd's embarrassment.
But he tried not to get angry or annoyed.
He knew he was trying his best.
.
.
.
Lloyd had been feeling stressed recently.
There was some cult gaining prominence in Ninjago City.
It was called 'Destruction.'
(Very creative, no?)
They took up most of the ninjas' time nowadays.
To join them you had to kill someone and bring back the victim's heart.
The thought of people doing that made bile rise in his throat.
They committed crimes left and right.
And they always got away.
The only reason he knew they were behind it is that they leave behind their symbol.
Also, his dad decided he wanted to stay the night at the monastery without warning them so there is that.
They did not have any spare room for him so he was sleeping on the couch.
.
.
Lloyd sighed as he collapsed on his bed.
He sighed.
They still could not find any evidence.
He did not bother getting under the covers.
He felt himself drift off to sleep.
.
.
.
Lloyd was underwater.
It was peaceful and quiet.
He began to swim upwards.
Suddenly it became loud.
Extremely loud.
He felt anxiety overflow him.
He was not moving upward.
He may have been swimming.
But now he was sinking.
He felt his lungs scream.
Tears burned in his eyes.
It was suffocatingly loud.
.
.
.
Lloyd jolted out of bed with tears rolling down his cheeks.
He was gasping for breath.
He needed to calm down.
He took deep, slow breaths.
When he finally regained control of his breathing, he curled up under the covers.
Lloyd was no stranger to nightmares.
But this one hit differently.
He tried to swallow back the lump in his throat.
He squeezed his eyes shut.
Slowly, he lost the battle and began to sob.
He gripped his blanket tightly, trying to ground himself.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
He flinched and covered his mouth.
But he could not stop the sobs that escaped him.
He heard the door open and close again.
He slowly opened his eyes and saw his father standing across the room.
He went silent and froze.
.
.
.
Garmadon had awoken to the sound of sobbing.
He debated going back to sleep and ignoring it, but he decided against it.
He needed to practice the act of goodness.
He slowly got up and stretched.
He walked down the hall and it got louder.
It was.. coming from Lloyd's room.
He felt a foreign feeling overcome him.
Concern?
He knocked on the door.
It went quiet for a moment before the sobbing continued.
He stood there for a bit before he decided to enter the room.
He closed the door behind him and froze.
He has never seen Lloyd like this.
His face was covered in sweat and tears.
And he was trembling under the covers.
.
.
.
The oni slowly made his way across the room.
"Are-Are you alright..?" He asked in confusion.
Lloyd's hands went up to grab his hair anxiously.
He shook his head violently, as he began to pull his hair.
He began to sob even harder than before.
Lloyd felt so overwhelmed.
Next thing he knew his father was right next to his bed.
Lloyd pulled his hair harder.
Suddenly, something pried his hands away from his hair.
He looked up and saw Garmadon holding his hands down.
He slowly got in the bed with Lloyd and pulled him into an embrace.
Lloyd tensed.
His hands were released as his father began to rub his back awkwardly.
He slowly calmed down.
.
.
.
Garmadon had no idea if he was doing it right.
Lloyd had tensed when he pulled him into a 'hug.'
Eventually, his son calmed down and relaxed.
When he finally thought Lloyd was asleep, he got up and began to walk towards the door.
He felt a grip on his sleeve.
He looked back and saw Lloyd holding him back.
"..Stay please.." Garmadon heard him whisper.
He looked into his son's eyes and froze.
He did not see the green ninja.
He saw a small child.
Garmadon sighed.
He sat back down and leaned against the wall.
.
.
.
Lloyd had felt himself begin to drift off when the warmth he was feeling left.
He awoke and saw his father leaving.
His tired brain grabbed the oni's sleeve.
Garmadon turned around and stared at him for a moment.
He felt his father's breath still before he sat back down.
He watched his father lean against the wall.
Lloyd shifted his grip to his father's hand.
He gripped it tightly before he fell into a peaceful slumber.
No nightmares.
Just peace.

I hope you enjoyed this oneshot!
I really like this one though the beginning is a bit trashy.
I may make a part 2 where the others go to wake up Lloyd and witness this wonderful father son scene. U-U
