[NOTE: I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A HAPPY HOLIDAYS!]
[NOTE 2: THANK YOU TO MY BOYFRIEND FOR SUGGESTING THIS AS A CHRISTMAS SPECIAL!]

John had never really been alone for Christmas. Even when he lived alone, his former wife gone, he had Lisa there to spend time with him. This year was no different, except perhaps that Rogelio was also coming over.

Lisa arrived first, of course. She was always early to events. John was more than happy for her to be over so soon. He allowed her inside, where she took off her coat, hat and gloves. She then turned and hugged her best friend, and he happily hugged back.

"I'm glad to see you, John!" She said, "I honestly thought you died until I got your invitation!"

John chuckled nervously, feeling guilty. "Sorry. I was caught up on... work."

"More demons and cults, I'm guessing?" Lisa asked.

"Perhaps." The man said.

They pulled away, going over to the living room. The fireplace snarled and popped, giving its warmth and light generously. Lisa sat in a loveseat in the corner, taking the woolen blanket that hung across its back and draping over herself. She brought her legs up, sighing contently and snuggling into the soft material. John smiled at his friend.

"Would you like some cocoa?" He asked her, "I've also gotten whipped cream and candy canes to put in it."

Lisa looked up at him, nodding. She stood, taking the blanket with her and wrapping it around her shoulders, and followed John into the kitchen. He started making the hot cocoa to his friend's liking as she sat on the counter next to him. When he finished, he gave Lisa a yellow mug to drink it from. It had a small dash of whipped cream and a mini candy cane hanging on the lip of the mug.

"Thanks." She said.

She took a small sip (as it was still hot) and hummed.

At that moment, the doorbell rang. John swiftly walked over to the door, looking out the peephole first, then opening the door for the visitor. Right outside was Rogelio. He held two neatly-wrapped boxes in his arms, and his face held a smile.

"Father! I'm glad you could make it!" John exclaimed excitedly, "Come on in!"

Rogelio chuckled as he stepped inside and swiped the snow off his coat. "Of course, hijo. I'm happy to visit." He said.

The older man set the boxes down and took off his coat and gloves. He picked up the boxes again and looked at John.

"I got you and Lisa presents. It's not much, but I hope you two both like them." He said.

John seemed taken aback, but smiled nonetheless. "Thank you! I'll put them by the tree."

Rogelio handed the boxes to the younger man, then walked into the kitchen and sat at the table as John set the presents by the tree. Lisa still sat on the counter, blanket loose around her waist. She looked up and smiled to him. He smiled back.

"I assume you're Lisa?" He asked.

Lisa nodded. "Yeah, and you're Father Garcia. I remember you from a couple months ago." She said.

"Yes. I'm sorry for keeping John busy. We had a lot of work to do." Rogelio said.

"It's all right." Lisa said.

John walked into the kitchen, then looked at the older man.

"Would you like some coffee, or maybe some hot cocoa?" He asked.
