Katy's Chance

New school new life... Right?

First day of school I've had in ages after the horrible death of my sister, My parents are sending me to a different school, they couldn't care less what I wanted they enrolled me and drag me out of my room I've been in my room ever since Jess died I hated life now and the last thing I wanted to do is school. I have no choice I made a deal if I go mum and dad will stay in our house and this town cause Jess is in the cemetery down the road I don't want to leave her here as crazy as it sounds I still need to be near her at least I can still talked to her and I'd do anything to get here back.

A week after Jessica's death My parents went back to work like nothing happen that just sicken me and losing my sister was far the most painful experience ever had to go through I lost my other half /my only friend, she gone I have no one now.

I walk up to my "new school"or what I call them teen prisons, I get to the gate I slowly walk in looking down I can hear whispering I look up everyone eyes glued to me this school is Blackwood high my last school was a Boarding school can you tell how much my parents loved me (note the sarcasm) I speed walked my way to the office as I walk in I see a blonde lady behind the desk who look to be in her early 20s.
"You must be Katy millers I'm Ashlee" she said a little to perky
In return I just nod
"Here your timetable and just sit on a chair and we will have a student show you around in 5"
"Thanks" I mumble As I make my way to the chair in the corner
I can hear footsteps coming towards me,
"Hi Katy I'm Jayden I'll be showing you around today" mystery boy called Jayden made stocks go down my spine.

I look up to make eye contact to Jayden, he was by far no geek in fact he was a sporty looking guy with brown hair and bright blue eyes I was surprise why would I have a jock be showing me around this school. I get up and notice how tall he was around 6'2 which towered over my 5'4.

"Yea I'm Katy" I said by the time I was done I notice he had a smile on his face, his teeth were pearly white what the hell is this guy a model.

"Well Katy I'm suppose to be showing you around um our mums work together could I see your timetable please"
"Um I didn't know that but here's my timetable" I thrust the timetable towards him
As he's hand touch my I got butterfly's.
What the hell Kate you need to pull yourself together you can't fall in love in 3 minutes
I got knocked out of my chat to myself when I heard his voice

"Katy you nearly have every class with me except English, Science and art so you want to follow me" he flash his smile

I start to walk and all of sudden I get dizzy I fall forward and Jayden catches me in the nick of time I was just an inch from the ground and he pulls me over to the chair.

I forgot to mention ever since my sister left me I've had little blackouts which if I say so myself suck and embarrassing.

"Are you okay we can do this tour another time" he actually worried putting his hand into his black short pockets looking down at me.
"No it's fine I just need a drink of water" grabbing my drink bottle out and taking a good gulp I felt bad. It wasn't his fault our moms worked at the same work and had arranged him to show me around at lunch, like some high school play date. "I'll be fine"

Jayden pulled his hands out of his pockets clapping them together I cringe as the sound Echoed "okay are you ready for the grand tour?"
By the time we started everyone was in class already we made our way down the grand hall it was long, with lockers on each side and posters stuck everywhere. he pointed out some classrooms as we came to an ended there was an intersection to the right was the gym and left was lunchroom/canteen, toilets and in front of us was two big doors.

He walk forward and push them open to show a oval, benches and tables.

"This is where people chill for lunch and the field over there is the football field" pointing to the big green field
"Ok" I say as I make my way to a table and sit.

Jayden came over shortly after sitting across from me

"Let's get to know each other I'll ask first" Jayden spoke confidently

"Why come to this school in the middle of the year?" He said put he's head on he elbows
I shrugged I didn't feel like telling him I just met him for all I knew he could be an axe murderer just saying,
"So what was it" he demanded  "kicked out of school" I shook my head and swallowed adverting my eyes to the ground.

"Trouble with the law" his voice was clear
She looked at him a smirk placed across his lips. She swallowed again no matter what she said or how she say it, that smirk would vanish straight away, it would make this awkward and he would feel like an ass she just sat there thinking on whether to tell him.

"Come on please" he said she could tell he was basically begging her now,
"There has to be a reason why you came to this school"
Katy put her shaking hands on the table looking him in the eyes taking a deep breath "my my my older sister......um died."

Her voice came out like a mouse no matter how many time she said them words, she couldn't escape the feeling that it was a line she was repeating from somebody else's life. Like the main character in some sappy movie that she and Jess use to watched on TV, cracking jokes about the lame acting but secretly feeling unspeakably luck that nothing so terrible would ever happen to them.

"My parents live the town over and promised if I went to school we wouldn't move out of the house and stay in the town where my sister was place at the local cemetery when she died I stop going to boarding school and stayed locked up in my room and they threat to move if I didn't go back to school and I made a deal." she continued sadly

Jaydens throat cleared Katy looked up to see there was no more smirk on his face and knew he would of been feeling like an ass right now he's bright eyes now dull.

"I'm so so so sorry Katy I didn't realise or had gotten told" he said truly
"It ok just try not to pity me I hat when people pity me" I said still looking at him
"How about we leave early we can go get Ice cream and hang at my house" he said looking straight at me
"Um sure are we even aloud " I said unsure

"Katy my dad's the principal he actually said before I saw you that if you needed to leave we could but I didn't know why but now I do I just thought it was that you where a family friend" he said then looking away I heard him mumble "you will be more than a family friend soon" then turned back around looking at me smiling.

'What did he mean by "more than a friend soon" I was thinking as we walked to the school.... Weird
