ZIPPING THE BAG holding the latest outfit, Kala hung it on the rack with the others and walked out of the closet. Grabbing her purse, that was doubling as a bookbag, slipped her wallet inside and walked downstairs.
"Morning, Mum." Kala greeted Martha with a soft smile before grabbing herself a fresh strawberry muffle and whipping up a peach smoothie with three drops of liquid peach Cedronian for balance.
Carefully screwing the dropper lid back on and sliding it back into her pantry, Kala took a sip of her smoothie while sliding a folder to her mother.
"What's this?" She asked with a smile. Kala simply placed her smootie and muffin on the table and guestured for the woman to open it. She did so with a smile. "For my class?"
"I figured my notes could be helpful so I had them printed and laminated. The pen and eraser are so you can make your own notes on them." Kala said as Jonathan entered.
"Morning." He said making himself a cup of coffee.
"Thank you, Kala." Martha said softly, touched even though she was used to the small, but useful ways her daughter showed affection. "Any plans for today?"
"I have to ship a few things off after school, but after I'm working in the garden and fixing a few things in the barn." Kala announced.
