They didn't talk for thirteen hours. They sat three meters away from each other on the plane, but not one initiated a conversation. It still makes her crazy thinking about it now. So, there she is laying on her bed, thinking about this confusing man.

They arrived at the hotel around eleven PM. To make it all better, she has to live with Lewis only a couple of doors further. She has to get her mind off all of this. Her eyes scan what's in her bag and fall on the only book that she brought.

So, she starts reading a book by édouard Louis in her pj's. He's a French writer and her favourite one, but she can't concentrate because of the constant sounds coming from a couple of rooms further.

She looks at the watch on her wrist. She mumbles, "Half past midnight." Who could be making so much noise at this hour?

She puts her glasses back in place by using the back of her knuckle. She decides against her own intuition and takes her book back into her hands.

She starts reading the same page that she has been reading for the past ten minutes. She sighs frustrated when she hears the same voices laughing and giggling out loud. She puts her book down and stands up.

She makes her way up to the door and opens it. She sticks her head out of the hotel room and looks to her right. No one. She turns her head to the left where she hears the giggles coming from.

Her hand flies to her mouth when she sees a drunk Lewis and what seems to be a drunk model kissing and laughing their ass off. She stands up straight so that they can't catch her looking. She has two options; one, cry and wash her eyes out, or two, she could say something to them.

She rubs her eyes as if she wants to erase what she just saw. She closes the door and turns around irritated. Even if they're disturbing her, she just has to live with it until she falls asleep. The last thing she wants to do now is to argue with Lewis.

She makes her way back to her bed and picks up her book. She loses herself in the many pages and slowly falls asleep. That's until she gets awoken by a constant knocking on her door. She groggily opens her eyes and sits up. She looks around herself and realises that she fell asleep.

She picks up her book that fell on the ground and looks at the hour on her phone 01:47. Her eyes dart back to the door when she hears the sound again. "You still awake?" Someone asks through the door.

Irina doesn't know if she has to be scared or intrigued. Maybe it's someone who is knocking on the wrong room, she thinks. "Irina?" The person asks in a lower tone. Well, never mind. She picks all her courage back up and opens the door.

Nobody. In the corner of her eye, she sees a figure walk away. Is it Lewis? "Did you just knock on my door?" She asks. The figure stops and turns around to show Lewis' glimmering eyes. He answers while walking back, "I thought you were asleep." Irina remarks sarcastically, "I was."

He leans against the door with his shoulder and mumbles, "I have been thinking, and I want this blad blood to end in between us. So, I came here to say that I'm sorry." He scratches the back of his neck and looks down at the ground.

Irina is taken aback by his honesty. Yet, his light swaying and need to lean against the door, plus the fact that she saw how drunk he was before, make her believe that he isn't being honest. "You had to drink a lot of courage to say that, didn't you?" She laughs to herself.

"Waw, you can't even admit that was mature of me." Lewis smiles. The first smile she has seen on him in a while. His teeth are perfectly aligned, she remarks. It takes her a second to look him back in the eyes.

She responds honestly, "You would have to make me very drunk for me to even think you're acting like an adult. Let alone, for me to admit it."

"Well, at least one of us is acting like one." He declares. "Yeah, me. Now, go have fun destroying your liver." She shoos him away. He looks down at her, and she up at him.

His eyes are dark brown and remind her of the darkest bits of a forest. She looks away and closes the door. She shakes her head and makes her way up to her bed.

She drapes the blanket over her legs and picks up her book. He made the first step towards peace between them, and she didn't know how to respond. So, she responded how she knew best. Was I too mean?

She gets up very irritated and stomps her way towards his door. She knocks softly on the door in the hope that he wouldn't hear it. Because if he doesn't open the door then she will be able to keep her pride, but not feel bad.

To her dismay does the door open. "Yeah?" He questions confused. She mumbles, "I'm sorry, I guess." She can feel his intense dark eyes trying to catch a glimpse of her eyes, but she keeps her head down.

"That's your apology?" He raises an eyebrow. She looks up at him and can see a small amused smile linger on his lips. "Mhm." He opens his door slightly more.

"So, we're good?" He leans against the doorframe. "Mhm." She gets more and more irritated by the fun that he is having out of this conversation.

"Are you lost your words?" He crosses his arms. "I'm noyLewis, goodnight." She goes to turn around but is stopped by him saying, "I'm happy you're back, Irina." She nods back and practically runs towards her room.

She closes the door and takes her glasses off to rub her eyes. I need to sleep, she thinks. She shakes her head at this weird encounter and makes her way towards her bed. She turns the light off and slowly falls asleep.

He closes the door and sighs when this random girl he brought home from the club asks, "Who was that?" He turns around and answers, "No one."

She stands up and goes over to him to kiss him. Lewis takes her arms from around his neck and suggests, "Maybe it's better if you go home?"

The woman is shocked by his sudden change in demeanour. She picks up her clothes and stops in front of him to say something. He stops her by saying, "Just go, please."

She shakes her head, "You're an asshole, Lewis." She storms off, but he couldn't care less about her. His mind is somewhere else.
