Just a test subject, or more..?

Sundown.. 11 pm.

I had been awake for 3 hours now.. All I remember was someone walking in and leaving right away.. I don't remember who it was exactly, but I recognized the familiar presence.

"Awake finally?" His voice was low and quiet, it startled me for a second. "Oh, yes.. I- I am.." I replied looking towards the voice. "The anesthesia finally wore off. The tests took longer than expected." I simply nodded.

A while after an awkward silence, Dottore helped me up to go towards the dining hall since his clones had made food.

"So.." I paused, Dottore kept walking and hummed in response. "How many clones are there of you..?" I asked. Dottore took a while to respond, trying to remember how many other segments he created. "Around 50 or more." Dottore spoke. The awkward silence was loud throughout the rest of the walk to the dining hall. As we got there, the man with the giant hat was already seated.

"Ah, Scaramouche you decided to join today finally?" Dottore spoke. The other nodded and glared towards me. "You never told me that you were keeping it." Scaramouche said as he pointing towards me. "Now, don't be like that towards our guest. I'm simply running tests on her." Dottore replied. "Whatever. What is her name anyway?" "[Name]." I stated. Scaramouche scoffed and said something to Dottore, in what I assumed was Shneznayan. I shrugged it off and took a seat to prepare for the food.

After the meal, I stood up and decided to explore. I could tell Dottore wasn't fond of the idea but allowed it anyway. I went off to explore the place.

Dottore's POV

I didn't like the Idea of [Name] exploring the place, but if it gave me and the Balladeer time to talk about our plan for Sumeru easier then it worked..

The plan was to make Scaramouche a God, then proceed to take the Dendro gnosis. I wasnt expecting on gathering myself a new subject to test on.

Now that I think of it.. It is nice having some company around that wasn't the Balladeer. And it's odd that she accepts testing to be done on her and doesn't fight it.

Whatever the reason was, it makes me more curious about her more and more.. I know that developing feelings like this for anyone is against the rules of the fatui but I can't help it.

Weeks Later

I was making my way towards Dottore's office. He told me to meet him there around 1:30.. Although it's now almost 2.. I got lost a few times before finally finding his office after a while.

"I am so sorry I'm late.. I got lost-" I started. "No need to be sorry. I should have given you directions." Dottore said. He sat down on his chair reading some of the paperwork he had. "Is there any kind of test to get done today?" I asked. "Yes, but this one is different than the others. No surgeries or injections." I was confused on what he meant, but nodded in somewhat understanding..
