Chapter 2

DAY OF SCAN

I wake up to the sound of Nala yelping to go outside to pee i look at my phone i have a notification its a reminder form the hospital about my scan today at 2 pm.i look at the time 7:03am it reads i slowly roll out of bed,hobble down the stairs and let her out. I walk over to the kitchen, turn the kettle on ,pour myself a hot chocolate and pour a glass of ice cold water. i run up the stairs as fast as i can with 2 full coups and a baby bump once I'm upstairs i tiptoe to our bedroom where Alfie is sleeping i pour the ice water all over his face and then fake that I'm sleeping

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH" Alfie screams

he turns to me and starts to tickle me i yelp out in a fit of giggles then i feel the most amazing thing in the world

"Alfie the baby the baby" i say breath taken

"the baby what" you can see the panic in his eyes

"they are kicking" i say as i place his hand on my belly

his face lights up "this is amazing" he says

we lay taught for a while talking about our relationship, the baby, about our future and where the baby room is going to be. At about 8:00 we both gage up i go to the bathroom and have a shower to be honest i would prefer a bath but can be bothered. I use all my favourite products, get out and get dressed. I wear my tribal black and white leggings a grey tank op and nee high boots ( you can see above) i do my makeup really simple and my hair in a half up half down bun. i look at my self in the mirror i really don't like how bare my neck looks so i add a statement black necklace the next thing i notice is my bump, I stare at it for a while before i walk out my legs start to hurt before i get to the stares so i do the unexpected you know when your little and you sit at the top of the steps and at each step you slide your bum down to the next well i did that. once i get to the bottom i walk the kitchen where Alfie is standing

what the hell did you just do he asks

I slid dow the stares I say with a smile

as Alfie hands me a smoothie he asks me about the scan and what they would do and just random questions that i think have been piling up inside him for a while

the next few hours consisted of going to Tesco's, being sick, editing 3 videos and filming a Would You Rather baby edition video. As it hit 12:30 i started to get my things ready. I grabbed a bottle of water, 2 packs of tissues a spare t-shirt because i sometimes didn't like the feel of the jell on my shirt, lip balm, hand sanitiser and just about everything i could grab. as Alfie walked into the room he says " Why do you need so much stuff we will be gone for 2 hours?"

after rethinking everything i have packed in the two bags i managed to limit in to one and get out the door in one piece

AT THE HOSPITAL

I was so excited i couldn't contain myself as we sat down I looked around at the people in the waning room most off them were parents with little kids because we where in the kids department of the hospital

" Zoe Sugg" the sweet voice of my midwife says

Both me and Alfie stand up and walk to our normal room I know this like the back of my hand I take my shoes off, lay on the bed and pull my t shirt completely off i know what your thinking but one its easier to see the screen and two i was still in my bra.

"Hello Zoe are you ready?" Chantelle our midwife says

"Yep" i replied enthusiastically

After a lot off sourcing around to get the right angle Chantelle shakes her head

"ok so I'm happy to announce that you are having a" AUTHOR NOTE
