CHAPTER 1

The breeze was nice and cool as Lumine walked across the grass plains, breathing in the air.

She smiled, feeling peace for once and sat down, admiring the flowers surrounding her. It was her safe place whenever she was overwhelmed by all the work she had received. Perhaps it was just the abyss mages fighting 24/7, or Dainsleif tried to break into her palace multiple times. Or maybe it was meeting her brother once more. Her ruined guard stood a few feet away to give her privacy, watching for any annoyances in her way.

Lumine sighed, stared at the scene before her, and smiled again, loving the peace.

"Lumine...?"

She sprung up, grabbed her sword and spun around to see a person. However, it wasn't Dainsleif since he was much shorter and had indigo hair and eyes.

"Who..." She squinted her eyes and found that her ruin guard was nowhere to be seen.

Lumine did notice one thing. He was a part of the fatui harbingers. She did see him when they went to her palace to overthrow her. She smiled and stood up, sprung on him, her sword ready to kill him. The indigo-haired boy dodged it, a spark of electro appearing on his hands.

"Electro? That's a first." She said, aiming for his head; the boy dodged it again and touched her stomach, hoping to get a reaction. Instead, Lumine's eyes widened, and she somersaulted backwards.

"Wait! I'm not here to fight!" The boy said as Lumine raised her sword.

"What is a feature harbinger doing here," Lumine said, raising an eyebrow.

"You... don't remember me?" The boy said, sounding hurt.

"What do you mean? I saw you when the fatui harbingers tried to attack me." She crossed her arms. "Perhaps you knew me from before but... I wish you forget me." She turned around and started walking away from him.

"Stop!" The boy said; Lumine was surrounded by purple smoke.

"What the." She looked at him, "What is this."

"Go to sleep."

Lumine blacked out, and the last thing she saw was him picking her up. ...

"Why on earth did you kidnap the Princess of the Abyss!?" Exclaimed a familiar voice.

Lumine, a bit dizzy, opened her eyes to see quite a scene.

Wait. Raiden Shogun!?

"Oh. You're awake." She stared at Lumine, then glared at the indigo boy, "You have a lot of guts to do that... brother."

Lumine rubbed her head and sat up.

"Everything... hurts," Lumine said, grasping her body. Shogun looked at the boy, giving him a look to apologise.

"Sorry. I guess." He said, not looking guilty, "My name is Scaramouche."

"Scara...mouche?" Lumine tilted her head, "I thought Ei's son was named Kunikuzushi."

"His name is originally Kunikuzushi, but he changed his name to Scaramouche, the balladeer. My name is Raiden Shogun, but you can call me Sho." Shogun's aura was a bit more comforting than Scaramouche's.

"I..." She shuddered, rubbing her own body with the cold. Shogun noticed it and embraced her. "I'm sorry it's cold. We are in the cryo regions."

"Why?" Lumine questioned, her face getting squished by her breasts. She did feel quite warm, though.

"Well, I was just having a break from all my mother's demands and came here, but then Kunikuzushi decided it was a good idea to come to my teapot."

Without question, Shogun patted her head, "I wish Kunikuzushi could be like a little brother towards me." She chuckled softly, stroking Lumines hair.

"Right." She nodded, "You can let go of me now." So, Shogun let go of her, and she used her dark magic to warm herself up, which worked. "Dark magic...? That's a start." Shogun stared at the black fire Lumine was using to warm herself up.

Scaramouche walked up to Lumine, a bit out of place, his shadow covering her, attempting to intimidate her. But, instead, Lumine looked up at him, giving him a death stare that could kill all the harbingers.

Scaramouche backed down, surprised by her intimidation.

Lumine stood up, grabbing the fatui harbinger by the face. "How do you know me."

"Woah! Calm down, Abyss Princess." Shogun stood up.

"L-let me go," Scaramouche said, trying to make her let go, but Lumine's grip was too firm. Although (though he won't admit it), he liked it.

"Tch." Lumine let go of him and walked towards the door, "I hope never to see you again." She opened the door and whistled twice.

"Wait! It's too cold outside, maybe wait...?" Shogun cut herself off as she saw the ruined guard peering between the door.

"Calm down, Rif." She said, looking back at Shogun and Scaramouche, her cold expression facing them. "Because of your hospitality, I won't make Rif explode your house." She struck a bag of mora, making it disappear. "I'll take this instead. Rif, hand."

The ruin guard (or Rif) placed his hand down for her to climb on. "I hope you guys have a cold day. No pun intended." She stepped on Rifs hand, and Rif walked off.

"She is the one you love?" Shogun said, closing the door.

"She doesn't remember me," Scaramouche said, turning away from her gaze.

"I see. She does seem to have a connection with... another world. Although you did say, she was from Khaenri'ah."

"She is. I know this because we became...lovers." His cold expression turned sad.

"You? A lover? What a load of crap." She snickered, lighting the fire to make tea. "Also, imma need to kick you out of my teapot." She said, smashing the tea leaves.

"I'll see myself out." He lowered his giant hat and walked out before bumping into the doorway because of his big hat, then took off his hat before walking in, cursing before leaving, and closing the door. Shogun chuckled to herself and looked out the window, "You can come out now... Yae Miko."

The pink-haired fox lady came out of the separate room. "What an amazing discovery." Yae Miko said, smiling, "The two lovers reunited; one doesn't remember him, and one remembers her. How... interesting."
