Chapter 6 - Queuing

Chapter 6- Queuing

"I thought it was supposed to start at 8?" Macey asked me, a little frustrated that we hadn't moved for over an hour. But before I could reply some other girl butted in...

"It is but they generally spend about 10 minutes explaining the rules to the first few people before they open the shop" A wide smile was spread across her face as she spoke to us with a slight, was it, irish accent? Her eyes were a bright blue and her red hair formed a smooth, clean-cut bob around her face;, she was short - about 5ft 3 but  she looked like she was at least  couple of years older than me and Macey .

"You've been here before?" Macey squealed in excitement .

"Yeah!" The girl screamed, but her mates -I presume the three girls next her are her mates- were too engrossed in their current conversation to notice she was talking to someone else.

Macey's face lit up at this and jumped in excitement as she squealed "OMG! what are they like?"

"They are... AMAZAYN, FABULOUIS, BRILLIAM, EXTRAORDINHARRY AND PHENOMINIALL!"the red-haired girl shouted, tearing up with happiness. Wow this girl is just as obsessed - or should I say dedicated- with One Direction as Macey is, and whereas Macey stood staring in awe at this newfound fellow directioner, who we were yet to find out the name of, I just stood and rolled my eyes. Why had I decided to join Macey and surround myself with so many over the top, crazy, screaming, 'dedicated' fans? One answer: I liked One Direction's MUSIC, a lot, and thought it would be great just to meet them  - I just hope going through this torture to see them is worth it.

"OMG!!"You are AMAZAYN!" Macey squealed, again -i know- before asking "What's your name?"

"Oh it's Alex, it's nice to meet you...?" the girl replied.

"Macey" my friend stated, filling in the blank for her fellow directioner.

"Nice name, so who have you come with?" she asked inquinsitivey.

"My friend Ray" Macey answered pointing to me and I gave her a shy smile which she returned, which I'm glad about as I didn't want to seem rude but I didn't really want to join in their conversation - I wasn't about to start fangirling just because they were.

"Cool, I came with my cousins all the way from London" she stated pointing to the three girls I had thought were her friends. Wait. She came from London! She really is  dedicated.

"Awesome! So who's you're favourite member?" Macey asked and I just knew this was going to turn into some massive One Direction quiz, now I would be queuing up with nobody to talk to. Yay. But anyway, at least this would give Macey the chance to fangirl all she liked without worrying about taking it too far and beginning to irritate the person she was talking to... normally me.

"NIALL!" Alex screamed, jumping up and down while fanning her face. 

"Me too!" Macey shouted immediatley as the girl finished saying Niall's name, as if it was the best thing in the world. All I did was roll my eyes and think yeah, me too as well you know! I hadn't told Macey because then she would complain to me about how she had claimed him first (God they are not objects!) and that I would have to choose someone else. To be honest I'm  that bothered about the way he looks, i'm just in love with his voice and when he sings... WOW. But I suppose I  shouldn't really have a favourite as I don't know them, I mean they might be completley different in person as to how they are portrayed in the media etc. 

Hmmm.... I could hear Macey and Alex continuing their conversation but it was all muffled, I was to busy thinking. I guess I am excited now, on the inside, I just want to hear what Niall's accent sounds like in person.. Oh I wonder what they're all going to be like? I hope Macey doesn't embarrass me too much in front of them. I'm not the most confident person at the best of times and just standing here thinking I'm beginning to worry about what I'm gonna do, what will I say? How am I going to explain why I haven't bought their autobiography? What if I hurt their feelings because I'm not buying it? What if I faint? Omg, that would be so embarrassing! No. I'm not going to let myself do that. Just be yourself and ...

"WE'RE MOVING!" Macey screamed, interrupting my thoughts and snapping me back to reality. She had a stupid grin on her face and grabbed onto me as we walked closer to the entrance to the store. I guess her and Alex had finished talking, for now, as I could see her red hair bobbing up and down alongside her cousins, directly in front. 

We walked a fair bit before we stopped and I guess that's the most we will be moving for a while, as they will be probably only be sending one group in at a time. I just hope it won't take too long as I get bored so easily and I don't know how much longer my ears will last with all this background chanting around me. Oh and I really hope we get there before lunch as I'm pretty sure it won't be that long until I'm hungry.

So now we wait...
