Talking to Hunter for two months left you to notice that:
1. Your conversations are short, this is probably the longest one you've had with him.
2. He doesn't particularly mind you spamming him, he said he just puts his phone on silent
3. He always ends up leaving first, almost abruptly. Like did just now.

You both could be having a good time and he's out of nowhere tell you he had to go.

Hunter was strange, and you barely knew anything about him except that he's your age. Which is a good thing. You know how old the person talking to you is.

But you wanted to know more.

Hunter turned off his phone stuffing it under his mattress when the swung open.

He had a book in his hand and look up as if he was reading it the whole time.

"Uncle! Welcome back from your trip!" He welcomed.

The uncle in question looked around. "Why were you laughing?"

"Laughing, sir?" Hunter said stupidly. It was all an act.

"I heard you laughing. You don't laugh when you're studying."

"Uh, no sir. I just. Thought of a joke I heard when we went out for food. I just remembered it and it was pretty funny."

"I see." The man said. "Continue studying. Where's your phone?"

Hunter paused. "Uh, I was scared to tell you sir... but I lost it at school...I dropped it somewhere." He lied. "I'm sorry."

"Oh Hunter. You are so exhausting sometimes. I'll order you a new one. Just focus on school."

"Of course sir. Thank you sir!"

The man was about to leave when he spoke again. "You have been talking to anyone, have you? Made any friends?"

"No sir, I have no time for friends." Hunter shook his head and lifted the book. "I have to study to be as great as you."

"Good." With that, the uncle left clicking the door shut. Hunter glanced at the mattress where the phone was and looked back at the book, nothing on his mind except the look his uncle gave him when he knew he was having fun.
