2. The Best Playmate

I wake up on the floor, where I fell asleep, and Flandre is still asleep. I ain't even been here 2 days and I'm already in some random girls room. I never even got to fully meet Remilia? I reckon the best thing to do is try to go make some small talk with her to get to know her, especially if I'm gonna be staying in her mansion.

Remilia POV

I'm just sitting in my throne room, thinking to myself, this human doesn't seem as a threat? And actually played with Flandre? Most people wouldn't dare step near her? I do hope he's still alive.

I let out a small sigh. I'm about to send Sakuya to check on them. But just as I was about to, the human comes walking in. He actually survived? Well, this human is a special case, now isn't he~

Y/n: Mrs. Remilia, would you mind me coming in?

Remilia: of course, is there something you needed?

Y/n: we'll I just wanted to say how grateful I am that y'all saved me n' all, and I was just kinda curious, why did you save me?

Remilia: well, it's not often that any human dares to come here, most of the time, it's to either steal or try to harm one of my residents, though they all fail.

I wasn't going to dare tell him about all of those humans being sent to be killed by Flandre, I'm still shocked he's alive.

Remilia: Seeing the state you were in, I couldn't just leave you there, and besides, I always need an extra soul around the mansion doing jobs. Might I ask how your time with Flandre was?

The human smiled and responded cheerfully.

Y/n: very enjoyable! I've never seen someone so playful before, she seems like a great person to me!

I couldn't believe what I was hearing...a human...actually not scared of Flandre???

Remilia: Well I'm glad, and with that being said, you are living here now, how would you like your job to be watching over Flandre? I'm most certian she would enjoy your company.

I said those words very hesitantly, knowing if he messes up once and makes her angry, he won't live to see another day.

Y/n: I would love that actually! Thank you Mrs. Remilia, now, the reason I came here, I just wanted see if maybe you would like to chat and get to know eachother better since, well, I'm living in your mansion now.

I was slightly taken back by his offer, I've never seen a human so polite, usually humans are terrified of me and everyone else here, respectfully so to, but he's actually...not bad for a human.

Remilia: I'll take you up on that offer.

Me and Remilia end up having tea and talking about life and our pasts, she told me about how she tried to mist everything out so her and Flandre could go anywhere as they please, but her plan was stopped by a Shrine Maiden. I tell her about my life back in the outside world and what the outside world is like.

Remilia: The outside world sounds very fascinating, so much different from here.

Y/n: Yeahhh, at first I panicked and wanted to go back, but the more I think about it, I had a boring life out there, new adventures wouldn't hurt anything.
