Jordan's POV
Summer went by fast it was now back to the regular season. I was back at work I was no longer playing house with Banks we had to go back to being professional at work.
I even went the extra mile of making sure he was taken care of by a PA (physician assistant) and not being one of my direct clients.
It would be rude of me to not include y'all on what happened with the parents.
Today Banks was meeting my dad and though he wasn't there to reminisce. He was very known in town and he was hard to miss.
My father a former military man who had a past reputation on the streets had a lot of respect but changed his life when he had me was always known for being tough but fair.
As we waited for my father to open the door I could read Banks body language. I knew he felt a mix of excitement and nerves.
Meeting my father was a significant step in our relationship. I know he was going to make a good first impression.
That was until my father opened the door, "baby girl" he said squeezing me into a hug and kissing me on my forehead.

"You don't visit home I should get on you about that—my apologizes how are you doing Bill you can call me Mr. J" he said shaking Banks hand.
Standing at 6'5" towering over most people, but Bill had face and body tattoos that often drew attention—-something I knew would be a shock to my father.
However at least my dad was 6'3" it wasn't a big height difference compared to me at 5'0"
"Come on in ya'll my dad said as we came in he closed the door. We sat down on the couch.
"You know, I didn't expect my daughter to date someone like you," My father finally got off his chest, his tone steady but blunt.
