It was a gloomy day as Priya woke up from her bed, shivering hard. As it was a cold December Sunday, and Priya's semester exams were already over, she checked her mobile phone looking for time and when she realised that she was up early, she dropped herself back to bed, tugging the blanket all over herself, as her body demanded more sleep. It has been an extremely strenuous one month for the Mathur family. It will not be an exaggeration to say that their world actually turned upside down in the past thirty days. The only relief for Priya was, as her college had semester breaks, she was able to lend her support to her broken mother and her younger sister. She could not even imagine what they would have done if she was not there with them that night, the darkest night of their life.

Rohit woke up with a huge grin on his face, as he remembered his time with Alex last evening. It has been three years since they confessed their feelings for each other, but still, their longing for each other seems to be growing each day. As Alex did not call him up like every other day to wish him good morning, Rohit wished to call him once, but later rejected the idea by thinking that he might be in a hurry for the meeting about which he was discussing last evening.
After Arranging his files for his today's appointments, Rohit rushed to the washroom to get ready for office. As he was in the showers, he listened to his mobile phone rang twice. Rohit finished his showering quickly as he hurried back to his bedroom to pick up the phone, expecting it to be Alex. But the name that popped up on his iPhone screen made him dumbstruck. It was his brother calling him from India after exactly two years. He did not want to talk to him, he had not even thought of him once in the last two years, so he let his phone ring. But, it kept on ringing ...Twice...thrice …fourth time. At the fifth call, he reluctantly picked it up, waited for a moment or two before coldly speaking out - "Hello". But what he heard next made his heart stop beating…
