What happens when the goddess of creation breaks the world before dying, leaving her creations to fend for themselves?

Yun Zhi is an immortal Celestian, in charge of weaving the ephemeral skies. In Celestia, passion is frowned upon. Balance is the key to keeping the realms apart, thus ensuring the purity of the Celestian soul. Yun Zhi lives for her art, crafting impeccable weaves that outshine the rest of her six sisters. All she seeks is progress in the seven weaves of power. But why has she stalled at the second weave?

When she hears Xiao Che's music in the mortal realm, the power of his song astounds her. Is he truly a common pathfinder, seeking the path to immortality? Or does his music hold the clue to a darker conspiracy, one with the potential to disrupt the realms?

And if balance is truly the key to perfection, why does Yun Zhi feel like she's on the verge of a breakthrough, only when her heart is moved?

AUTHOR BIO:Mo Yun is a Singaporean-Chinese writer living in the sunny city-state of Singapore. She works in the wellness industry by day, and dreams up stories in her spare time. When she's not busy with her day job or writing, she also dabbles in design, nutrition, herbal and aromatherapy concoctions and the occasional voiceover project.

Her keystone project on Wattpad is the Chinese xianxia fantasy: Chronicles of the Seventh Weave, of which 'A Sliver of Frost' (ASOF) is the first book. (Xianxia 仙侠 is a Chinese term that loosely translates as 'Immortals and heroes/chivalry' — what you might label as high fantasy with a Chinese setting.)

1. Hi Mo Yun, we're delighted to have you with us today! Let's start. Tell us something surprising about yourself.

I have two left feet and am rather reserved in real life, so people are often surprised to find out that I took up Chinese Dance as an extracurricular activity in secondary school. All I can say about that is... it was a result that was half due to blind loyalty to my best friend at that time, and half due to a fluke of fate (I desperately wanted to join the Chinese Orchestra and learn Guzheng, but was not accepted). And no - I cannot dance! Being tall (for a Singaporean) meant that I was always chucked to the back of the formation, so as to better hide my mistakes! Ha!

2. When did you start writing? How has your writing journey been so far?

I started writing when I was about ten years old. At that time, all I wanted was to make the worlds in my head come to life, and since I could not draw well, the next best thing was to try to paint those worlds in words. I remember writing lots of little skits as a kid and forcing my younger cousins to perform them on 'theatre nights'. I also tried my hand at fan-fiction, RPG scripts (which I forced my brothers to play), manga scripts, animation scripts and song lyrics in those growing up years. All terrible, I'm sure, but dreaming them up was the most enjoyable part.
