Yay! Another chapter done!
It was a nice and sunny day, when Bendy woke up that morning. He could hear the birds chirping outside and the snow was almost completely melted away.
After (Y/N) and Bendy ate breakfast, they went up to (Y/N)'s room so she could paint more, and this time Bendy was painting with her.
Bendy was having a bit of trouble with his painting. He would sometimes smug some of the colors together if the paint wasn't quite dry enough. Now he had paint all over his hands. It didn't bother him that much, but it did feel a bit weird, with how crusty it got when it dried. Bendy had never painted before. It was a bit harder then he'd thought it would be, (Y/N) made it look so easy. But overall it was pretty fun. It was very different on then how ink worked, and there were way more colors since he was more used to black and white.
While (Y/N) and Bendy were painting, (Y/N) had the radio in her room on and listening to soft instrumental music, it reminded Bendy of what Sammy would write and play on the instruments at the studio, Bendy hummed along with it. Then the song soon ended and some reporter's voices came one. They were weather reporters. (Y/N) stopped painting and listened closely to the radio. The reporters said that it will be partly cloudy for the next few days, but on Friday, another snow storm was coming.
Bendy stopped painting as well, his stomach churning in fear a little bit at the thought of snow, he didn't even know why. He was somewhere safe, away from the snowstorm. He just couldn't forgot how cold and unforgiving it was, how many times he could've died from it. He glanced at (Y/N) who had put her paintbrush and pallet down. She had a worried look one her face. She glanced back at Bendy. "You wouldn't mind if we head to the grocery store do you." She asked.
Bendy shook his head, placing his paint brush down. "Why do we need to go?" He asked.
"I just need to get a few things," (Y/N) answered, "food, drinks, wood for the fireplace. I just want to get it before the snowstorm." (Y/N) cleaned up by putting all the paint in a basket and her paint brushes in a cup that held different sizes of brushes.
Bendy nodded in agreement. He stepped down from the stool he was using to reach the canvas. (Heh, short).
(Y/N) and Bendy both got ready, putting on their coats and gloves. (Y/N) grabbed her purse. They left the house, (Y/N) locking the door behind them.
They headed into town and to Bendy's dismay, there were way more people out then last time. Bendy stepped closer to (Y/N), still nervous of someone realizing that he's not human.
(Y/N) and Bendy walked past some people that waved at them, they probably knew (Y/N). She tried to get by quickly so then they don't ask why she had, most likely to them, a child with her. Bendy realized they were passing by Becky's art store. He saw her inside tending to a costumer. Mrs. Becky noticed them walking by and she waved at Bendy, he waved back.
They kept on walking down the street until they reached what looked like the end, with a huge building, Bendy guessed that it was the grocery store. They walked in and they were met with some Christmas music. There were many people there, putting the stuff they grabbed from the shelves in to these weird carts. Others were waiting in line. The store was bigger then Bendy expected. There was so many aisles of food. There was not only food, but there was also drinks, and even a few sections of clothing, this place had almost everything. (Walmart?)
(Y/N) had grabbed one of the carts that everyone else was using and pushed it along.
"What are these?" Bendy asked.
"These are grocery carts." (Y/N) answered. "You can put the stuff you need in them so you don't have to carry everything."
That actually sounded pretty useful, if you are planning on getting a lot of things.
They went through some aisles where (Y/N) grabbed some food, then they got to an aisles with all the food in theses clear glassed fridges and Bendy shivered on how cold it was, it wasn't that bad, it was just sudden.
When they were done with that aisle they reached one that had blankets, pillows, and even some clothing. While (Y/N) was going through the blankets, Bendy saw a racket that had a bunch of sweaters on it, but not the kind he's seen before. They had these weird stripped patterns, some blocky and some triangular. He grabbed one that was bright red and had a white stripped pattern, it had a soft material.
"What did you find?" (Y/N) asked, coming up beside him, she saw what he was holding and she let out a small laugh. "Oh, those are called 'ugly sweaters.'"
"Ugly?" Bendy asked a bit confused. These sweaters weren't ugly, a bit weird sure. But not ugly, at least not to him.
(Y/N) let out a small giggle at his confusion. "You can try it on, if you want?" She told him.
Bendy stared back down at it, he then took off his coat and beanie. After he gave them to (Y/N) so she could hold, he began to put on the the 'ugly' sweater. It was nice and warm. It felt like something you would wear sitting by the fireplace. The sleeves were a tad bit long, but that didn't bother him so much, it only covered his hands.
Bendy stiffened when there was a sudden flashing light and a weird sound after. He turned to (Y/N) and saw that she was holding a camera, she had a small smirk on her face as she held a picture in her hand that finished forming. "Aww, look how cute you are."
The picture showed him in the sweater, he didn't even realize his tail was wagging until he saw it on the picture of the blurred tail going back and forth, kinda like a smudge frame they'd use in animation.
Bendy's stubborn, devil's instinct kicked in and he blushed in embarrassment, his cheeks flushing up dark grey. "(Y-Y/N)." He groaned, burring his face into the neck of the sweater.
(Y/N) laughed at his adorable flustered reaction. She was trying to hold back from laughing anymore, but was doing a poor job at it. It was just to cute.
Bendy noticed on how much of a child he looked like in the photo. He slowly recalled the few days and he finally caught on that he was also kinda acting like a child. That added more to his embarrassment. He's 30 years old and he was acting like a five year old!
His child behavior was so weird, he was so confused why he was acting like that the past week. But then realized that it all started with Mrs. Becky's art store. When he got the sketch book from her, he was bouncing around all happily. Then the bakery's cookies, and now the sweater. This behaviors was all wonderment of the world, he knew nothing. All he knew was the studio and how to survive the harsh winters, he truly had no idea what amazing things this small world has.
He might not see everything, but now, with (Y/N), he might have a chance what living a life really means.
There we go, another chapter done. Before Christmas too! Thank goodness. I want to see if I could do some more doodles of this story, especially about this chapter, there so many cute scenes I want to draw! Anyways, I hope ya'll have a good holiday! (If you celebrate Christmas on December 25)
