It was a clear, cool, and starry night in the Arctic circle. A mother beluga raises her newborn baby to the surface for her first breath. Baby Beluga looks at his surroundings. The water beneath him is dark, and he sees ice floating on the water. He looks down again, but this time he notices his tail. He moved it around. Baby Beluga soon figured out how to use his tail. He squealed with joy as he swam around his mother and the rest of the pod. He only stopped once to feed at his mother's belly. He swam all through the night 'till morning came at last.
