Baby Beluga was swimming with his pod one day when he saw a shape walking on the ice above him. He poked his head above the water and looked around. To his surprise a large polar bear spotted Baby Beluga and started running toward him. Mother Beluga turned around. She raced toward the bear and gave it a hard, bone crunching smack with her tail. The polar bear roared in pain and stumbled around blindly. Mother Beluga ushered Baby Beluga away and down to the depths with the rest of the pod. Baby Beluga wondered why his mother attacked the bear. He decided it was best not to bother another polar bear again. He knew know that polar bears were dangerous. Baby Beluga was thankful that his mother taught him that lesson.
