chapter 1

~D A N N Y~

I can't belive it finally my last year of high school I am so happy even though I walked into the school and I seen every girl just crying. When I seen this I tried my best not to laugh, they where just holding onto their boyfriends crying on how much they are going to miss them.

Let's get one thing straight, first I am not and my name is Danny things like this always happen but this year is different for everyone because we get freedom but everyone is sad about it, and the year is 1980 not that bad of a yeat except that no one doesn't like the word gay or lesbian they just think it's wrong so I haven't told anyone about it cause I don't think I'm ready for that.

"Well I didn't want to see that today."

I turned around and seen my best friend acting like she was going to be sick, I started laughing then I heard her laughing as well then we both stopped after awhile then she wanted a hug I'm not really a hugger but I gave her one anyway because she is trying to get into college so I didn't care.

"I really am going to miss you." Chrissy said backing away from me.

I looked at her ready to scream, " Chrissy your joking!!!" I said when she pulled out a letter from a college that she wanted to get in, "I got in!!" Chrissy said giving me the letter so I could see it for myself.

I really wanted to say something but this damn bell rang, we said bye and she went with her boyfriend to PE while I walk alone to World History.

Okay there has been this guy I have no idea what's his name but he has been in my classes for 8 years like all of my classes, he tries to talk to me but I freak out and walk or run away depends on how I feel, and everyone just tells me that I'm a pussy for running, he's hot what do you want me to do? History goes normal just getting to know who is in your class but me I didn't talk to anyone I didn't want to just like every year the teachers know that I don't do these thing so I just got a book out and started reading.

After a couple of minutes past but I felt someone watching me I looked up and it was the boy I quickly closed my book and put it away, then he was just starting a conversation but to my surprise I didn't run I was listening to him the whole time, after what it felt like hours he stopped and looked into my eyes and he held eye contact the way he looked at me it was like I was everything that he needed in life, then he broke the silence.

"I'm sorry I kinda don't remember your name?" He said while laughing a little, then I chuckled, "I don't either." I said when he looked down.

"Thomas." He said looking in my eyes again this boy knows how to freak me out, I smiled, "Danny." I said looking at the floor, then I heard Thomas speaking again but he was asking questions about myself which was amazing cause he calmed me down, and I asked him some to and he answered all of them. It was amazing until a girl came over that I never seen before.

She came up looking like she needed to fight someone, she almost hit me but Thomas stopped her, "What's wrong Zoey?" Thomas asked her when he met her eyes. Zoey really that's my mom's name I can't be friends with her no matter what happenes, my mom died of an illness and now my dad has it, I know he isn't going to survive but I see him everyday, "Who the fuck is this?!" She said pointing at me, "Uhh hi?" Then Thomas put her arm down, "Babe it's not okay to point at anyone plus this is my new friend, so be nice." Thomas said looking at me with a smile my heart felt so many things, hurt, happy, broken, flustered, but nothing made sense.

"I don't t care if he is your friend or not I want his name so WHAT IS IT?!" Zoey screamed so everyone is the class was looking at us now Thomas was trying to calm her down but Zoey couldn't then the bell rang, so I got up and went to my next class which was Language Arts and Thomas sits next to me. I feel like this is so wrong like is he my crush or just my friend soon to be crush?

"Zoey isn't in this class so I can finally talk to you again." Thomas said whispering in my ear that made me shiver but I nodded and waited until the teacher was done. This kid was popular and can do anything he wanted and not get in trouble but he wants to talk to me. We continue the conversation we had and he kept making me laugh but everyone was loud so no one heard me. I guess today won't be so bad after all. Now I have guts for the last year of high school and I will never see him again after this year, there is no way we can get close in one year...right?
