I Faked My Death and Became a Father at 20

________

"Well, that's one way to name a chapter" Blaise coughed out only to be ignored by his friends.

Regulus Arcturus Black Heir to the most ancient and noble house of Black was perfect.

"Why are we learning about Black instead of Potter spawn?" Snape mumbled to himself as a sneer was plastered on his face.

He was the perfect son, the perfect heir, he was everything his parents asked him to be.

He was better than his older brother. Well that's what he was born and raised to be. The best; a perfect spare just in case the main son stepped out of line.

And when his older brother eventually did step out of line, it was his duty as the second son of Orion Black and Walburga Black to be everything that they wanted him to be.

A monster.

Everyone murmured at the words of the book. Over at the Slytherin table, Regulus was guarded by his friends. They would glare at anyone who even dared look the pureblood way.

Regulus hated how this was being centered on him and he didn't even know why especially if they were supposed to be watching the life of Jamie- no Potter's child so why? just why? Why did the world hate him so much? Why was this being focused on him? Feeling a hand on his shoulder he looked up, meeting comforting hazel eyes causing him to relax.

It both amazes and scares him how pandora is able to calm him down with just one look. Yet, he never complained.

He did terrible things in life, following the orders of his parents. Things that he regrets and that he would never be proud of.

Regulus Arcturus Black was their perfect soldier.

Yet you know what they always say;

Nothing last forever.

_______

Regulus believed it all started the summer of his fourth year of Hogwarts when He spent the summer in France at the Black family's other estate. His mind wasn't in the right place, not when his parents wanted him to get the dark mark, not when Sirius had just left him alone in the house that haunted both of their nightmares. Not when he was alone.

Yet the young boy remembers being lost in thought as he walked through the streets of Colmar when he bumped into someone.
He remembers helping the girl up being lost in the blue orbs that stared back at him so fiercely. He was confused until she pointed to the book that fell into the water beside him. They watched as it floated the spine being the only thing visible. Little woman huh? The boy remembers asking like it was yesterday enchanted by the way her anger subsided quickly and a charming smile danced across her face.
