You and May walked into the gym of Sootopolis City, ready to engage in the final battle of the gym challenge. You didn't even attempt to debate as you knew May was going to take the top spot here whether you liked it or not. You knew that was going to be the case, so rather than fight her on it, you walked up to the stands and sat on down, looking at her approach to the arena. From the main side of the arena, the curtains moved to the side, and Wallace stepped out. He smiled wide and bow down a little in a showman, mocking style.
Wallace: Hello and welcome, trainers! I am Wallace of Sootopolis City! It is a pleasure to have you both...here...
Wallace looked up and saw May standing before him. He blinked a little.
Wallace: Well. You look oddly familiar.
May: April. You know that name. Girlfriend from around 12 years ago.
Wallace: Uh...y-yes. I guess...oh....oh...
May said nothing and tossed out Electrike. Even you were surprised by the shock. You didn't even know her plan. You glanced from her over to Wallace, still stunned by the developments of the day. However, when he saw the pokemon, he took a deep breath.
Wallace: I don't think now is the time for-
May: I don't care. Let's go.
Wallace sighed and took out a poke ball. He took a deep breath and threw the ball and out Whiscash. The fish slapped its tail down onto the ground. May cracked her neck a little and glared forward. Wallace looked at his pokemon and back up to May.
Wallace: If you really were, then you would know some respect. Whiscash, Earthquake!
Whiscash yelled a bit and slammed down onto the ground. Electrike leapt around the arena, avoiding the possible damage.
May: Thunder!
Electrike dived forward and released a massive blast of electricity. Whiscash went to dodge but was hit a little. As a response, the water type used another earthquake and slammed down on Electrike and forced the lighting dog to take some damage.
May: Snap back! Get in there!
Electrike snapped back and released another bout of Thunder down toward Whiscash.
Wallace: Water Pulse!
Whiscash responded swiftly, launching up a beam of water to slam onto the lighting. However, both attacks crossed through and slammed down onto one another. Whiscash tumbled back along the ground as Electrike landed firmly on his feet. The pokemon growled a little as Whiscash slowly got up.
May: Bite!
Electrike darted forward and bit down on Whiscash.
Wallace: Earthquake!
Before Whiscash could attack again, it was too late, and the pokemon went down and was knocked out. Electrike leapt back towards May and landed before her. Wallace glared slightly and absorbed the pokemon back into its ball.
Wallace: Impressive. Most impressive.
Wallace threw out his next pokemon, Sealeo.
Wallace: Aurora Beam!
May: You know the plan, Electrike. Quick attack!
Sealeo fired off the beam of ice, hitting Electrike a little on the back leg. However, with the increase of Quick Attack, Electrike was able to break free and dart forward towards Sealeo. Wallace smirked a little as Electrike came in for the attack.
Wallace: Body slam!
Sealeo leapt up and slammed down into Electrike at full speed. Both pokemon used all their strength and weight to stop the other's attack, bouncing back and sliding along the ground.
