Going Back to School

"Hayes, just Justine still go to your school?" I said making myself breakfast.

"You know what, sadly she does." 

"Hayes if you want me to drive you to school you better be coming outside now." Nash said from the doorway.

Hayes looked at me, "you coming?"

"Yup." I picked up my bag and we went outside to the car.

"Are  you nervous about going back to school?" Hayes said rubbing my hand.

"I was only gone for for like 2 weeks, I didn't miss much."

"Haha."

Hayes and I walked hand and hand into school and when I walked in everybody was looking at me.  "Hayes? Why are they looking at me?  I was only gone for 2 weeks." I said looking around nervously. 

"I don't know."

Hayes P.O.V:

"Hayes? Why are they looking at me? I was only gone for 2 weeks." Hayley said.

"I don't know."  Something did not seem right.  We walked into homeroom and once it was over I left Hayley and I went to go ask people what was going on.

"Cole." I said running up to him.

"Yeah."

"Why are people looking at Hayley funny?"

"Shouldn't you know."

"No not really... what?" Something was not right.

"Someone spread a rumor that the reason why she went to Virginia was because she had a long time boyfriend named Mattew and she went over there to sleep with him."

My heart stopped, that could not be true. "Who?"

"Who what?"

"Who told you this?"

"Oh Justine did." I kind of believed it at first but then when Cole said Justine did it, I knew it could not be true. I stormed down the hallway and I saw Justine talking to one of her friends.  I grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the janitor closet.

"So you finally have an interest in me." Justine said all flirtatiously.

"What the hell is wrong with you? Why do you want Hayley to look so bad.  The only slut I know in this school is you, so you back the hell off."

"Hayes its okay, I know you love me, its okay."

"Shut up Justine.  Matt is her best friend and I know she would never even sleep with him, she hasn't even slept with me."

"Wow, if I was wiith you I would."

"You know what Justine, you are such a bitch and the next time you come near me or Hayley, I will punch you so hard to break your nose and I will not be sorry."

"Hayes I know you love me." She touched my shoulder and I didn't mean to but I slapped her.

"Stop fucking touching me, I don't like you."  I opened up the door and slammed it in her face.

"Hayes." I turned around and Hayley was standing behind me.

Hayley's P.O.V:

"Hayes." Hayes turned around and he did not look happy.

"You didn't sleep with Matt right?"

"What? No, Hayes I love you, Matt is my best friend."

"Okay good."

"Is that why everybody is staring at me, because they think I am sleeping with people." How could people say that about me.

"Who was it?"

Hayes looked down at his feet.  "Justine."

I should have known it was Justine.  I let go of Hayes's hand and stormed down the hall.  Hayes grabbed my hand and looked me in the eyes and shook his head no.  I took his word and I just kissed him.  But deep down inside I knew I had to do something.

"Want to go to the coffee shop?" I asked Hayes as we got into my car.  School had ended an hour ago and we were just hanging out at our house.  I like saying our house.

"Sure." I drove to the coffee shop and I saw Justine walk into the bathroom.

"Hey baby, can you just get me a drink, a cold one preferably." I knew what I had in mind.

"Sure." He kissed me on the cheek and went in line to order.  I walked into the bathroom and Justine was adjusting her makeup.

"Hi Justine." Justine gave me a fake smile and I went towards her and gave her a hug. "I haven't seen you in so long."

"Your right we haven't.  We should change that sometime."

"No I don't think so, next time you spread another rumor about me, I am going to smash your face in.  You got it?"

"Oh I got it alright." She walked out of the bathroom.  Since I was in there already I decided to go to the bathroom.  I touched up my makeup and then walked outside and my heart stopped.  Hayes had found us a seat and Justine was next to him.  She locked her eyes on me and then she kissed Hayes... That bitch. 

"Wow, Justine I see you have yourself occupied."

Hayes shot his eyes up and he had sorry looked into his eyes.  "Hayley its not what it looks like."

"Oh I know, did you by any chance get that drink I wanted?"

"Yeah." He handed me the drink I took a sip, then I opened up the cup and poured it on Justine.

"Its funny how history repeats itself isn't it."

"Wha" Justine started but I cut her off. 

"Goodbye." I grabbed his hand and we walked out of the shop in pride.

"You know she kissed me right?"

"I know." I kissed him and I hopped him in the car.

"Shall we go see a movie?"

"I have to do homework."

"Okay." Hayes rested his hand on my thigh as we drove home.

I walked into the front door and went straight up into my room to do my homework.  I was doing my homework for about 45 minutes when Hayes knocked on my door and walked inside. "I brought pizza" He handed me a plate of pizza.

"Thank you, you forgot something though."

"No I didn't." Hayes pulled out the ranch dressing behind his back.

"Thank you." I kissed him and he walked out of the room but then came back inside with all of his books.

"Lets do our homework together."  He sat on my bed and I went over to him with my bags and we did our homework together.  About 20 minutes later after doing our homework we were still on my bed just laying there.

"Lets ask questions." Hayes suggested.

"Alright, you go first."

"Alright, was I your first kiss?"

"You want the truth? Yes you were."

"I am very honered.  Now you ask me."

"Okay, how long do you plan dating me?"

"For ever and ever.  When do you want to loose your virginity?"

As soon as Hayes asked me that question I knew it was because of Matt rumor thing.  "I don't know, 17 atleast."

"One more year then." Hayes kissed me goodnight and then went into his bedroom.
