The realms of the power of light are the kingdom of Deidyrell and Illarial.

The power of light has, since thousands of years, taken different forms. Every person, every genius, every king and queen, has become a master at using light in one way or another. There were monarchs famed for conjuring spheres of light that competed with the sun. There were lords who could turn invisible. There were ladies who created images so precise that looked as if they were replicas of reality. In the modern age, while monarchs keep their potential in humility and secrecy, the most powerful warrior using light is Lord Jareth, capable of creating a mighty shield of light over the entire army of Illarial.

The Kingdom of Deidyrell is ruled by Queen Indra, a member of the ancient dynasty of Deidyrell that dates back to the first monarchs who owned the power of light. Their queen, Indra, was the youngest daughter of the former kings, taking her position after the mysterious murder of her brother, the young King Kishan. She is the youngest queen to occupy the throne in the history of Deidyrell. Supported by her marriage to King Yaghuth, since coming to power she has sought to bring reforms that have pleased the people, but increased tensions with the other Realms of the world. The rumour runs among the other realms that the Freemen Movement of those who can use magic without belonging to the royalty is not being punished and that the detractors find refuge there. Queen Indra has called a Conference to address the issue of the Magical Freedom and a proposed Reform of the Convention of the Magical Alliance which has rattled the whole order of the Realms. No kingdom has endorsed it.
