My name, is Lora.
Everything was peaceful in my village of Somalia, we had weekly papers that would bring us news since my people had no access to television or electronics.
Life was good.
I had dropped out of school before entering junior high to help out at home tending to crops and my family's needs. I was also our paper retriever.
Occasionally, my friend Nina would visit our village and we would have a good time together. We could walk over to each other's homes, literally.
Her village bordered the East side of ours a mile off.
One day when Nina was heading over, I heard a distant humming echoing through the barren valley. A shape appeared in the sky. A latch opened from it's bowels, dropping something over Nina's village. It hovered there, until the items stopped falling. It was gone in an instant.
Little did I know I had just witnessed the start of a new war. A great war that could eradicate human existence. I didn't know that I would be one of the humans that were going to be watching the end of history.
I had witnessed the start of the third, and final, World War.
