2025 notes/edits: do not have strong feelings for this ship. it's fine. kishimoto intentionally designed all the members of the team to be complimentary to each other (they basically all have a theme if you look closely at all their designs together.) so shikacho look really good aesthetically. i like choji. i think shikamaru is a fine character. I liked seeing all shikainocho interactions so like yeah, they work together. it's like a childhood friends to lovers kinda thing. i don't mind it.
TLDR; i don't mind it.
Rating: mmm.. 5/10.. right in the middle lol.
