"Stop, just stop, you know better than to talk like that!" My mother yelled at me. I stared her down, she knew it was true...so why deny it? "Quit acting like everything is okay." I stated blankly. I looked down, my jeans torn and converse untied. Her face grew red with anger, her olive eyes releasing tears to roll down her face. Her hair was up in a tangled messy bun...she was beautiful...unlike me. She acted as if she was going to say something but quickly left. I walked over to my mirror and looked at my reflection. My black short hair in a mess, my blue eyes were...lifeless, freckles trailed up my nose. I heard a series of buzzing noises and then noticed it was my phone. "Hello?" I answered, "Emmery! I didn't think you would answer! I'm so sorry about..." Alexis trailed off "Cancer?" I said plainly "Yeah...I just wanted to tell you I love you and I'm here." I rolled my eyes "Ok whatever. Bye."
