I woke up groggy, not knowing where I was. I could hear someone moving near me, but couldn't see them. "Who are you?! What do you want?!" I shouted, pulling angrily at my restraints. They were unmistakably frayed rope, but it tied my hands and legs to the chair I was sat on. I was blind folded, only faint light was let through.
A silky voice responded after a moment, frighteningly close to me, "I can't tell you that, dove, but I can tell you my stage name: Khada Jhin. You, my darling, may refer to me as jhin, or if you prefer..." I felt a heat shuffle somewhat closer to me, "you may call me master." He nearly whispered his last statement, but it made me shudder in fear.
"Please, let me go... I-I have family that will pay you, they'll pay whatever you ask! Just let me go.... Please." I begged, hoping money may convince whoever this Khada Jhin was. He didn't respond for a long while, causing me to think he was gone, but then I heard the sound of metal on metal, causing me to flinch. The man chuckled at my fear, a metal object tracing my cheek. I tried to pull away from whatever it was, fearing it was a weapon. The object just followed me, I whimpered in fear. It dug in a little more, it was somewhat sharp.
"Oh dove. I have no intention of letting you go. I don't do this for money, I do this for the love of art. And my dear, you will be a masterpiece~" the disembodied voice purred sensually, causing my eyes to begin watering. What would he do to me? What 'art' was he planning on making? "I will also tell you that I know who you are, and I know exactly what your family does, so you won't have to go into detail about that, Elizabeth."
I was shocked he knew my name and wondered how much he really knew about me. He knew what my family did? What did he mean by that... I thought they just owned a fabrics business, but he seemed somewhat upset by my parents. I was now thinking they did something other than that, because who'd be this upset over fabric?
I was shaking without realizing, the metal object traced down my cheek and the cold feeling wrapped around my neck. My breathing hitched, it must be his hand, armored with sharp metal. Even the man's palm was armored. I was holding my breath as the hand tightened around my neck threatening to choke me.
"Ah ah ah," he pulled his metal hand away, I breathed a sigh of relief quietly. "We mustn't hurt you. Not yet anyways my dear, but fear not, you will be experiencing many different and beautiful forms of pain." I was still shaking from the fear of the encounter, now even more so from the nervous anticipation of what he'd do next.
Footsteps, then a door opening and shutting allowed me to relax a little. I started to focus and feel everything I could to see if I had any hope of escaping. I began to raise my eyebrows over and over in hopes to slip off the blindfold so I could at least see what was binding me. After some time, I was successful in slipping it up my forehead. I searched the small room for anything helpful, but it was just a lovely shade of pink. Dark velvet curtains covered tall windows. I was surprised by the comfort of the room. I turned my head to look behind me and there was a king four-poster bed with luxurious blankets and pillows covering the mattress.
I then trailed my attention down to myself, I was wearing a white nightgown, my thighs and ankles were tied to the chair. I wiggled somewhat, trying to see if I could slip from the ropes around my thighs. They moved somewhat and I moved more aggressively, wiggling them free. I could now stand up, though my ankles and wrists were still bound. The chair seemed to be bolted to the floor, which made this more complicated than anticipated. My ankles were the only part still tied to the chair, but I needed my hands to free them.
I heard a noise and froze, beginning to shake with adrenaline. I waited for a short while before jutting my elbows out in front of me. I did this for a long time before my hands were rubbed raw, but finally free. I lunged down to untie my ankles, which I did quickly. I walked over to one of the windows and my eyes widened looking down at the ground that was way further away than I thought. I didn't think I'd survive that jump, so I decided to try going through the door.
My heart was beating out of my chest all the way up into my throat. I was shivering as I reached towards the door. I slowly turned the golden knob and inched the door open. I was surprised the door was unlocked. I peeked out into a dark but still visible hallway. It was just as elegant as the room I was in, but the walls were covered in disturbing paintings. One was a woman's rib cage open, a bloody flower blooming from her chest and at the center lay her heart.
I wrinkled my nose in disgust, not looking at any more of the grotesque 'art'. Seeing that painting sent a deep dread all throughout my body, now fearing my mysterious captor even more than I already had. I was relieved to walk down the hall without incident. I turned the corner and my heart sunk, seeing a tall figure midway through the hallway. I turned immediately and sprinted back to the room I was held in.
I heard heavy footsteps behind me, motivating me to run even faster. There was a deep laughter getting closer to me. I was making noises of fear, tears coming down my face at this point. I turned to close the door, but my captor was close. I slammed the door, throwing my weight against it in an attempt to keep him out. I cried there for a moment as the man shoved his weight against the door. It lurched me forward each time, opening the door slightly with each shove. He shoved once more, even harder this time and I fell forward. I scrambled away from the door to the opposite end of the room.
I turned to look at my captor, expecting to see his face but I was met with a white mask and a strange costume. I now realized his entire right arm was robotic, frightening me. He was holding a large gun in his left hand. I tried to back even further from him, only to be met with a wall. He was moving slowly, allowing my mind to race and stomach to churn in fear.
I cried, getting on my knees to beg him not to hurt me. "Please I won't do it again, I just.... Please don't hurt me, please." He holstered his gun and reached out to me with his left hand. Suddenly, he pulled his hand back and struck me across the face. I whimpered in pain and shrunk back away from him.
His robotic arm reached out and grabbed a fist full of my hair, effortlessly lifting me off the ground. I clenched my teeth and winced, trying to put my feet on the ground to relieve the pain. I was now face to face with the tall masked man and was met with one deep brown eye sparkling with pleasure.
"First order of business, dove, we must address what you've just done and punish you accordingly. Secondly, we must understand that you will speak to your owner with respect, do you understand?" He growled, trying to maintain his composure. I didn't even know how to respond, but just nodded. He let go, causing me to crumble to the ground with a thump. He chuckled softly, my tears flowing freely now.
