"Ahhh... I feel like I've been reborn!"

Midoriya Izuku revelled as he soaked himself in the hot spring water.

Even if he didn't do as much physical training as the hero course, Izuku was still dead beat from all the work he put in today.

"Izuku, it's comfy..." The white haired girl closed her eyes as she relaxed next to Izuku in the spring.

"Let it soak in Eri..." Looking at Eri happily enjoy her first hot spring made Izuku feel that all this was worth the trouble... That and the kitchen of course.

Izuku closed his eyes as he soaked all his worries away. Maybe if he soaked long enough his misfortune would diffuse out of him, like a green tea bag in sulphur laced water.

"AHH! Green!?"

Or not.

Izuku looked up to see Jirou Kyouka, wrapped in a towel, the heat of the hot spring already getting to her. Or was she just blushing?

"Jiro-ro!" Eri cheerfully greeted.

"H-Hey..." Izuku awkwardly waved. "Sorry, but I thought everyone had already gone their turn. Didn't want Eri to be overwhelmed."

"I-It's fine..." Jirou blushed. "But couldn't you have used the boy's side instead?"

Izuku nervously scratched his head. "Like I said I wasn't expecting anyone else, and I thought the girls section would be more comfortable for Eri. Imagine if I went over, and Mineta or Kaminari turned up instead of you." Or Kacchan, Izuku silently added.

"I see your point, b-but it doesn't make this any less awkward... I'm just gonna go." Jirou nervously shuffled away.

"You're not staying Jiro-ro?" Eri whined.

Jirou was taken aback by Eri's puppy dog eyed attack. "I-Umm..."

"It's fine Eri, I'll leave. This was supposed to be the girls side anyway."

"Eh!? No! I want Izuku here!"

"Eh?" Izuku found it really hard to say no to her.

"I-I-I d-don't r-really mind i-if it's y-y-you." Jirou stuttered out. "B-better y-you than those two anyway..." Her sentence ended with a tinge of annoyance.

As Jirou sat down, the once relaxing atmosphere began to thicken more than the steam surrounding them.

"So... Why didn't you come in with the rest of the girls?"

Jirou stiffened before sinking her head to eye level in the water. "......I..."

"Look, if it's too uncomfortable I get it."

"NO! " Jirou jolted out. "I mean, it's just... It's just embarrassing..."

"To go in with the other girls?"

Jirou shook her head. "Embarrassing that I haven't got over it even after everything you said."

Wait what? Everything he said? Just what did Izuku say before?

Izuku sat idly as he observed Class 1A have the time of their lives around the dimming orange light.

He was invited by Uraraka Ochako as thanks for helping her advance in the sports festival, deciding to use it as a chance to talk to Shinsou after their recent fallout, but his plan fell through when the man in question hadn't even shown up.

Thankfully neither had Kacchan, so there was that.

"Ah Midoriya."

Izuku turned to see one of the boys who he had beaten in the sports festival, holding an ice cream in each hand. One who had more than just a shade of red.
