It was a long day. I had found myself at the saloon chugging coffees so I could stay awake. Harvey said he was working late and I honestly hated it when he did that to himself. He invests so much time into his job that we barely even get to spend time together anymore. I usually try to stop by if i'm in the area. And I know he won't be mad if I brought him a coffee.

"One more coffee, to-go this time!" I said laughing as Gus grinned, turning around to the espresso machine, and pulling a lever.

"This ones on the house." Gus beamed, turning back around to face me and quickly sliding it towards me, leaning his body on the counter.

"Aww! I really appreciate this Gus!" I smiled, feeling better with the extra change in my pocket. "It's for Harvey anyways, you know how hard he works!" I said waving, he nodded and smiled, waving me goodbye.

I walked out of the door and listened as it slammed shut behind me, the snow glistening through the lights of the building. It was early winter and everything felt like a movie, Thin layers of ice covering the ground, coffee in my hand and a soft smile on my face. I set down my belongings for a moment on a bench, putting my suede jacket on, It was Harveys. It still smelled like him still. The smell of a fresh hospital mixed with a bit of coffee beans.

I picked up my stuff and walked through the town plaza, and up to the clinic, I sneaked inside, wanting to surprise him. I quietly shut the door behind me and looked around the waiting room. Maru must have gotten off early, I thought as I walked forward.

I softly opened the double doors and peaked around the corner, assuming he would be at his computer, he wasn't. But I was interrupted by a distant conversation, confused, I slowly walked through the main hallway. It was dark, but there was one single light on by the end of the hallway, coming from one of the small examination rooms. So I quietly walked towards the noise, trying not to let my boots creak.

I stopped for a moment to listen, I could hear the talking better now. Before I could listen to what was being said, I heard the movement of hospital equipment.

"We can keep it a secret." a woman said in an intimate tone. I covered my mouth, realizing what was happening.

"I don't want to do this..." Harveys voice was a bit shaky. I could imagine his face, soft but reluctant.

"Please~" She whimpered seductively. "I've wanted you inside of me for a long time Doctor Harvey..." I felt a tear run down my cheek as I covered my mouth, hearing her seduce him.

"I-" Harvey gasped, my hands began to violently shake as I listened to the sound of kissing. I knew who it was at this moment, Maru.

I couldn't sit here and listen to them any longer so I walked closer to the room. Spilling coffee each step I took Split... Splat... Splut... I stood in front of the doorway for a second as Maru began to unbutton his top. Tears running down my face, I dropped the coffee. Thud! The remains of the cup began to pool before my feet, and the turning of their heads, followed by shock.

"I-it's not what it looks like!" Harvey jumped, pushing Maru off of him, pinkish-purple lipstick stains covering his jaw and lips. I began to cry as he wiped his hands across his face, making the stain worse. He reached his hands out for me to explain.

"No... no no no!" I screamed at him. "I had full trust in you Harvey! I wanted to grow old with you!" I broke down, now on the ground. I watched him freeze up in dismay, as Maru reassembled her shirt.

"She came on me!" He bargained, tears now streaming down his face. Maru looked offended, eyeing him as she adjusted her top.

"I'll let you deal with this.." Maru stuttered as she grabbed her jacket, quickly sliding past me and back out of the double-doors. I put my hands on my face wiping away the mascara residue.

"I couldn't stop her!" He faltered. "She started kissing me and i-" He didn't finish his sentence and he didn't have to.

"I don't want this!" I shouted. Using the wall to help pull up my weak limbs.

"I can fix this!" He bargained with me. "You can't fix everything Harvey!" I cried out. "I get it, you're a doctor, but you can't fix our relationship, or what you've done" I sobbed, wiping my tears and walking away. He quickly grabbed my arm and I swung around, slapping him.

"Don't touch me!" I broke down. Wanting to give in. I looked into his eyes and watched as he cried, his tears running over her lipstick. His cheek slowly transformed into a red blotch from where I slapped him. I turned my head and he slowly let go of me. I hesitated as I walked through the double doors, knowing he was wishing I'd forgive him. If only he was an actress instead of a doctor, because i wasn't falling for it.

"I hope you hate yourself for this Harvey..." I said, putting my hand on the door and slowly pushing it open. I turned around for a second and he was on the ground, a waterfall of emotions flowing through his mind, his hands fastened on his hair. I quickly turned back around and stopped at the entrance. Taking off his jacket and laying it on the chair, along with my wedding ring.

I stumbled out the door and began my long trek home, crying, and preparing myself for the after effects.
