The illustrious kingdom of Hilderic no longer stands among the top within the realms.
The horrors began to take root roughly 5 months prior. The miners dug out the ground starting many months before, but 5 months ago today they found the end of our lands.
An unassuming vial of black goo. First thought to be some sort of melted metal or other such material, but not at all. They unwittingly studied it until the fateful day where it attached to one of the doctors, turning the innocent man... into a beast.
People with it are now known as Yielded, it being an incurable disease which turns humans into beasts. The rest of the realms sealed us off, cutting all contact with any possible help. Now left to scavenge and ravage their own lands, most of the 15% of the population left alive live those lives helpless. Some barely call it living.
This land isn't for the lighthearted, it isn't really for any humans nowadays. Most die either by a monster, or their own hand.
And if they aren't dead.. they're Yielded.
