Abba rushed out of his office like the strike of lightning, before he knew it he was home, running to the backyard as if a magnet was pulling him.
He found his wife sprawled up on the ground wincing and sweating while Alamin was seated beside her fanning her with some pawpaw leaves as he was scared of what was happening to his mom.
Immediately umma sighted her husband she let out a whisper that wasn't audible enough but he sure heard it " the babies are coming". Abba didn't know what to do he was scared to break her promise of not taking her to the hospital for the delivery, but all that matters is to save all the three lives struggling.
He picked her up with great difficulty but he was still determined, he took her to the car whispering sweet nothings into her ears while Al-amin followed behind them silently sobbing.
Abba placed her in the back seat of his Mercedes E350. Alamin followed them to the car but was abruptly stopped by Alhaji " stay inside we'll be back soon" he didn't mean to speak harshly but it wasn't his fault he was just trying to sound understanding.

At the federal teaching hospital Bauchi State
Alhaji arrived at the hospital but umma's laboured breaths intensified by the minute, " hang on habibi you're going to be fine " he told her but she was still stubborn about going to the hospital.
But it was for her and the twins' safety, he was busy whispering some dua's to her as they entered the hospital reception.
"Where is the damn stretcher!!" He yelled out to no one in particular, on his way to the hospital he had called his bestest friend more like brother who was their family doctor and a gynecologists at the hospital Dr. Abdul Fatah Abubakar to inform him of their coming to the hospital and told him to arrange a stretcher for them.
Some male nurses came with a table like bed and put her on it and rushed her to the theatre. Alhaji was busy doing safaa and Marwa in the reception, before Dr. Abdul Fatah came and tried to calm him down.
After finally convincing him to drink a glass of water and sit down he left him to go and operate on umma. He was still wondering where jadwa his younger sister was because he had also called her telling her to bring the hospital bag they had prepared for the trio. Just then she came in gasping for air and sweating like she ran a marathon.
Five hours later a nurse came out of the room and was have an expressionless face one, and said the words that he had been dreading " we lost one " Alhaji didn't know who he lost among the trio but was still terrified, and kept supplicating, Innalillahi wa Inna ilaihir rajiuun from Allah we are and to him we shall return.
Jadwa tried to calm him down but to no avail he broke down how he was eager to see the babies born and the mother holding the both of the, put Allah had His own plans for them.
He finally calmed down and managed to ask " who did we lose ?".
"The boy" She replied and was about to leave when he asked another question
"What is the other one?"
"It's a girl" she said with a sad smile on her face. " Can I see them?" He asked mirroring her expression.
"Yeah sure but be extra quiet the mother is still sleeping while the child is under observation" Alhaji got confused " but what is wrong with the baby?"
"Well the mother's water broke almost an hour before you brought her in so both the children almost suffocated to death, apparently the boy drank too much of thee water, when we brought him out his stomach had already bloated and his lungs were filled with the water, and apparently almost the same thing happened to the girl but we brought her out on time but the water got into her lungs as well resulting to a case of chronic pneumonia and asthma as well so sir please take heart Allah knows best" this time Alhaji slumped on the chair unable to believe himself.
