Red poison // Xavier Thorpe

I woke up in the middle of the night with a bad headache so I decided ti go on a walk. I know I'm not allowed to but I want to explore a little.

After 20 minutes of walking, I found the statue of Edgar Allan Poe. I sat down at the base and saw the nightshade symbol on the book. I guess I found the entrance to the Nightshade Library. My parents told me about it.

I took a few steps away from it and snapped twice. As I did this, the statue moved back revealing the stairs to the library. Of course I had to check it out.

The library was beautiful. I was admiring every book ok the shelves.

And then, dark. Someone found me, tied me to a chair and put something on my head so I couldn't see.

"Who dares to enter our sacred place?" someone with a mask said.

In front of me sat 6 people with masks and dark purple robes. The Nightshade Society.

"Chill. I was just looking at the books." I replied from my spot. "You can take the mask off. You too Yoko."

"Damn, I knew you were good" Yoko said while taking the mask off. "You can take the masks off everyone. She isn't a treath."

Everyone took their masks off. I recognized the two boys from earlier, Xavier and Ajax. There were two more people that I didn't know and someone familiar. Bianca.

"Wow, you haven't changed a bit Bianca." I said addressing to my childhood friend.

"Good to see you too, Beatrix." Bianca replied with a little smile. "Ajax, untie her." she said turning to the gorgon.

"No need, I already did it." I said and held the rope up for them to see.

"I like her already." one of the unknown persons said. "I say we let her join us"

"Good idea, Divina" Bianca replied to her. "So what do you think?" she asked addressing to me.

"I'm in." I replied to my friend with a smirk. "So, what are we doing in this club?"

"We have night patrols, rooftop parties and the occasional skinny dipping in the moonlight" Yoko said with a happy face.

"And Yoko here is an amateur mixologist. She makes a Virgin Mojito to die for" Ajax said.

"Then I made the best decision. Now I should go to sleep cause I'm really tired" I told them and left

When I was about to enter Ophelia Hall, someone grabbed my hand. I turned around to see who it was.

Xavier sat there looking down at me. Mind you, I was 5'7 but he was way taller than me.

"I wanted to introduce myself. I'm Xavier Thorpe." he said, looking into my eyes.

"I'm Beatrix Vidal but you can call me Bea for short" I replied taking a step back.

"I know your name already." he replied.

"How so, Xavier?" I asked.

"Enid Sinclair posted about you and her roommate, Wednesday Addams. Some gossip I think" he said.

Enid Sinclair. I should look on her page.

"Well, don't believe everything you read on the internet" I told him one last time and left.
