"Why is this damn game so hard..."
Ruth asked out loud as he tried to reach for the red spot. Haruki was sitting with Koen in their lap, letting the child watch the cartoon 'Bluey' while Akihito was having a go at twister. The people playing at the moment included Ruth, Kory, Ophelia and Akihito. The game was a breeze for Kory and they were holding up quite well. Ruth and Akihito was a different story.
"My turn! Spin the wheel Haruki!"
Akihito yelled to her lover.
"On it my darling!"
Haruki gave a nod as they spun the wheel.
"Okay! Left foot red!"
Haruki chirped.
"Oh my gosh i swear..."
Akihito cursed as she tried to reach the red spit on the mat. Ruth was in pain like this, his right foot on a green spot, his left foot on a red spot, right hand on a yellow spot, and left hand on another green spot. He could hear Kory's frenzied giggled while he noticed a smug smirk painted on Ophelia's face as she tried to hold back her laughter on Ruth's attempt at the game.
This was more painful than sitting through that three hour conference...
Ruth thought to himself as he couldn't talk it anymore.
"I'm not doing this anymore..."
Ruth stated as he got up.
"W-W-Wait- WOAH-!"
Kory tried to stop him but he already got up. Kory had a arm and a leg crossed over Ruth's right leg, and before Kory could stop him, Ruth had just unintentionally flipped Kory off the mat. Kory rolled onto the carpeted floor, wincing in pain as they did.
"That was mean Ruthie! I can't believe you would do that!"
Kory groaned. Akihito had gotten off the mat too, and was now seated on the floor. Kory was pouting as they rolled onto their back to face the ceiling.
"...I realised we forgot about Harper,"
Kory muttered.
Everyone looked at them.
"Oh sh*t we forgot Harper,"
"Should i send her an invite now?"
Haruki asked.
Harper hadn't shown up on 24 December as apparently, she was spending time with her sister.
(Harper is an criminal case OC, who i made siblings with Vanna Alabama with lol)
"Oh sh*t we forgot Shiro too,"
Kory cursed.
"OH GOSH KORY YOU HAVE A FLY ON YOUR FACE-"
Akihito screamed ready to smack Kory in the face.
Kory screamed as Akihito raised her hand over their face, while Ruth stared out the window, as snow rained down relentlessly, covering the ground in an even thicker blanket of white...

~Outside~
A figure sliced through the snowy night as their feet barely had the time to sink into the deep snow with how fast they were running. The cold wind smacked them in the face as they grinned, carrying a brightly wrapped present under their arm as their scarf fluttered in the wind.
The brightly decorated mansion was right there...They were almost there..! They weren't missing Christmas with them this year!

~Back inside~
The group were sitting in the living room, questioning what they should do. Haruki had defended Kory from Akihito's attack, resulting in them having a slap mark on the side of their face. Akihito had not stopped apologising since then.
"We should really call Harper...Its only 12:30am! She can still make it-"
Ruth suggested when someone knocked on the door.
"Oh I'll go get it-"
Ruth didn't even manage to take a step towards the door when someone kicked it down with so much might the door nearly broke.
The group's eyes widened at the sight of this person before they gasped.
"Oh my lord..."
"HARPER!"
The group chanted in unison as Harper laughed heartily.
"Yep! Harper with the last name that sounds wrong ahahaha!"
Harper laughed as she ran towards Kory and gave them a bear hug.
"Now Shiro,"
Ruth stated.
The group couldn't believe they had forgotten about Shiro and Harper, but now Harper was here, they just had to summon Shiro. Sunny just so happened to have walked into the room with some cups of hot chocolate.
"I'm back! Oh hello Harper!"
Sunny greeted.
"Hey Sunny. You look happy,"
Harper shot back with a grin.
"Did you get a secret Santa gift?"
"Of course! Do i place it anywhere?"
"Yeah just put it aside for now. Everyone now, sacrifice your gifts onto the velvet! I'll do the magic later,"
Haruki clapped their hands with a smile as everyone dropped their presents onto a thin red velvet cloth with white fleece lining. Kory dropped their gift quite carelessly onto the cloth first, before Ruth stacked his on top of Kory's. Sunny leant his smaller package against Kory's. Akihito dropped the small present onto cloth before grabbing a candy cane. Harper dropped their gift next, before Haruki left a neatly wrapped box onto the pile last.
Haruki hummed as they snapped their fingers, several strings appeared tied to the presents.
"Later on, you choose a string, and then you pull!"
Haruki explained.
"Awesome!"
Sunny clapped his hands, excited. Everyone had left a card inside the gift box with a note and their name, so you would know who's present you got! This wasn't exactly how Christmas Santa worked but Haruki had lost motivation, and would probably only plan the accurate version of Secret Santa next year.
"Well....What do we do now?"
Kory asked.
Harper sat next to Kory, sipping some hot chocolate before setting the cup down and looking at the group.
Haruki blinked as they tried to thought of what to do.
"So...Ruth, how was your family going to celebrate Christmas?"
Haruki asked.
"Oh about that. My parents suddenly couldn't. They had days off and everything but their workplace suddenly called them because of an error and they're assistance was needed...So i just spent time here,"
Ruth explained.
"Aw....That's sad..."
Sunny muttered.
"Sunny what about you?"
Haruki asked.
"Oh i asked my parents if i could come here! They agreed, saying i was old enough to make my own choices! But i'm celebrating Christmas with them next year!"
Sunny chirped.
"That's sweet. Harps?"
Akihito asked.
"Oh i spend time with Vanna yesterday. It was cool, but i managed to get here cause she is a pop star, her director gave her a Christmas special event and she's having photo shoots with the public. She was still excited though, cause she got to wear a Santa dress. I'm happy for her,"
Harper smiled as she drank her hot chocolate.
"Now me!"
Kory exclaimed.
"Another part of me is celebrating with the bureau! And damn they are having fun! Sad Carmen won't let me try any of the eggnog. I get it it has vodka in it, but even just a sip can do!"
Kory laughed.
"Remember that one time you got drunk Kory?"
Ruth asked.
"Oh? That one time? Which time?"
Kory queried, unsure what Ruth meant.
"You got so drunk you grabbed a candy cane and said, "I'M GINGERBRAVE FROM COOKIE RUN KINGDOM MOTHERFORKERS!" Remember?"
Ruth asked.
Kory laughed upon remembering.
"Oh yeah! And then i woke up why i had a half eaten candy cane in my hand. I ate it while i was drunk apparently,"
Kory laughed.
"You then spat it out and said it was spicy. I thought you lost your spice tolerance until you cooked some really spicy noodles and ate it all. You even drank the sauce,"
Haruki mentioned, stifling their giggles as they did.
"Aaaa ahaha- damn i'm wild sometimes!"
Kory cackled.
Akihito giggled as she nibbled on her candy cane.
The group laughed a little as Haruki hugged Akihito close...
