"Ugh! I can't believe you outrun me again. Elias what have you been doing and how are you faster than me?" Brittney whined after being defeated by her twin brother. It was a clear day and the Moonstar family decided to have a picnic in the Frozen Forest. Ice crystals hung down trees and winter creatures strolled in the forest. His clear blue eyes complimented his pale skin. His round face gave everyone the 'adorable' impression and when he smiles, his dimpled cheeks made his innocent face breathtaking. He had his father's masculinity and his mother's charm and blue eyes.
"Brittney, you spend all your time with your friends at parties wiles I spend my time training. Who would win? you or me?" Elias stated ignoring his sister's anger. Before she could react, a sound broke the late morning stillness. It was a baby's cry. It echoed in the forest and Elias sensed that the baby was in some sort of danger. He bravely went to the cave the sound was heard from. He sniffed the air and could tell that it was the home of vicious Winter wolves. He knew it was risky but he was willing to take the risk. He mustered courage and proceeded to the mouth of the cave.
"Elias stop!" A voice called from behind him. he turned to see his father standing behind him. He briefed his father, Jace on their little discovery. Jace insisted that Elias stay behind whiles he goes in to check. Jace heard growls around him. He was surrounded by wolves. The Alpha of the pack stood out and its white fur glowed. He closed his eyes and his hair glowed as well. the other wolves bowed and the Luna stepped out with a basket in her mouth. Inside was a helpless little baby sleeping peacefully. Her snow-white hair floated in the breeze that swept the cave. the Luna gave the letter and the baby to Jace who was dumbstruck by what he saw. After reading the paper, he mumbled 'The Lost Jewel has been found.' With shock and amusement written on his face, he left the cave. Just as he reached the mouth of the cave, his hair turned white, his canines elongated and his aura turned dark and dangerous. His family was surrounded by bloody and filthy werewolves. Elias stood in front of his mother and sister with a sword in his hand. He stood in his defensive stance ready to fight. The wolves were amused and burst into laughter at the six year old boy who was playing brave. Elias' eyes reached his dad and his father nodded at him. With a taunting smirk, Elias taunted the werewolves. They were once again amused and one of them leaped to pounce on him. A sword flew from nowhere and sliced the wolf in half. The laughter died down instantly when they witnessed the shocking scene. They turned around to find an older boy with white hair and an empty sheath and wearing a black cloak that danced in the wind. Elias threw the sword at him and he caught it effortlessly. He saw the disbelief written on their faces and he smiled devilishly.
"Barking dogs seldom bite." He drew their attention to himself. Provoked by his words, they all morphed into their inner wolf with their yellow eyes fixed on him. His father leaned against the mouth of the cave enjoying the front row seat to the show. A twelve year old defeating adult werewolves. One by one the wolves fell brutally wounded and three of them dead. A horse neighed as it drew closer to the scene. The rider was wearing a black cloak with a Luxton royal crest on the chain, with a cape covering his face. After looking at the mess, he sighed disappointedly. 'Useless as always.' The stranger mumbled aloud as he got down from the brown stallion. The hood fell back revealing a familiar and frightening face. from his bright yellow eyes, Jace could tell he was the werewolf alpha. The wind blew hard against the trees sending the snow that had fallen on them flying around them. The atmosphere was so cold and dense that Ivy and the kids started to shiver. Upon seeing their shocked faces, he smiled revealing his elongated canines. He licked his lips lustfully when he set his eyes on Ivy. Her slightly brown hair was tied in a ponytail revealing a slender neck with a bitemark on the right side. Her white fur coat made her look like a cute fluffy polar bear. She had emerald green eyes, cute nose and full red lips. She was wearing a white shirt, a pair of jeans with a pair of white winter boots. Before he could touch her, he received a sucker punch from a fuming Jace. His eyes turned royal blue.
"Don't you dare touch my wife, Lloyd. the fact that you are the King doesn't mean you can put your filthy hands on anyone in my family. Especially my wife." At that moment, he was so furious the snow stopped moving and stood still like time had frozen. His hands were shaking wildly as they wanted to get soaked in blood. Lloyd's blood. Lloyd managed to control his anger because he knew what Jace was capable of. If his sons were able to wound thirty wolves without breaking a sweat at their young age, imagine the strength of their father. Jace could smell the fear being sheltered by an unreadable expression. He smirked and turned to see Ivy terrified. She hated to see blood and she was eight months pregnant. He heaved a sigh and looked in the direction of the baby. Ivy, Brittney, Elias and August were curious to see what Jace was looking and they found the baby crying. Ivy got up and went to the baby, carried her and tried to soothe her to sleep. blood had sputtered on her small beautiful face. and some had touched her lips. She licked it and her eyes shot open. She saw a tall figure behind them. He disappeared and she started to cry again. Lloyd saw this as an opportunity to strike. He grabbed Brittney when they were distracted. August was behind Lloyd and devised a sneak attack.
"Lloyd if you lay a hand on my daughter, I will break your bones and feed them to your filthy dogs." J threatened. Reveling in his thoughts, he was distracted. August knocked him down and released his sister. Before he could recover, Jace and August held their swords at him.
"Next time I find you anywhere near my family and my people, I won't hold back. Get lost and take your puppies with you." Jace warned and turned to see the baby resting peacefully in Ivy's arms.
"She is beautiful. I will call her Lily. She looks like the new Lily blossom in our backyard. It suits her, don't you think so, Jace?"
"It's perfect. Let's go home and freshen up." Jace smiled at his wife and Elias turned to the baby, his new sister who was now called Lily.
"Father, won't her parents come for her?" Elias asked curiously.
"Don't worry son, we're keeping her."
