A Shift In Reality

Chapter 9

"Wahhh, Are you sure it's here?" Toman Mikey said, dunking his head to avoid the cobwebs. The youngest Mikey scoffed at what the older was doing before making his way to the front. It was already bad enough it was raining. Kisaki sighed before taking a deep breath.

"I'm sure this is where we need to be. I think it would be a good idea for everyone to fanoug and search this place." Nodding, most of everyone went scattering looking for any clues that could lead them home.

The place was shaggy that [Name] couldn't help but feel a sense of familiarity. Wasn't this the shop where the old lady gave her that pink powder? If only Beth was here so she could confirm, but seeing how rustic and dirty it was. She was sure she got the stuff here.

"I think this sis the place. I've been here before when I got that powder that changed you guys back."

Humming Hanna made his way with Baji, both stepping over broken floor boards.

"Can't believe I digested something from here." Baji huffed, before scowling. Hearing his response, Chuuya shook his head.

"Haven't you ate dog food," he glared before halting in his search, "as a human" he finished empathizing.

Baji looked the other way annoyed, drawing a familiar laugh from the girl. If it wasn't for Takemichi suddenly running over in a frenzy, she would've ganged up on the boy with Chifuyu to tease him.

"You guys!" He yelled, repeating it for good measure so everyone can hear. He pointed toward a broken floor board, gesturing his hand for everyone to see. Everyone gathered around the spot as B. Rindou bent down before harshly pulling the floor board up. Underneath revealed a broken letter. It was separated into four pieces as it was stained a tan brown with mud smudge all over it. "What is it?" Kakucho questioned, looking at his childhood friend and future coworker. "No idea, it's separated and covered in filth." Rindou responded, turning the pieces around and placing them together.

Izana walked forward, bending down to get a better look. "I have an idea," he said, grabbing everyone's attention. "It's a hint." He said, confusing the others.

"A hint? What does that mean?" The youngest Mikey asked, frustrated with the other speaking in "riddles". He was only stopped by another hand on his shoulder and meeting dead eyes. Bonten Mikey started to talk. " It means who ever brought us here...." He paused not continuing, glancing at his older (younger?) adoptive brother. Izana got the message before making eye contact with [Name] then the others. "Is playing with us"

"What the hell do you mean!?!?" Baji yelled before calming down by the serious look on the others face.

"It's how it sounds. They want us to find the way back ourselves, and this hint will be what helps us to do that." Kisaki appeared, pushing his glasses up. Bending down while taking a look at the paper, he read it.

"A storm will not follow people, but will follow a storm." A disturbed expression came on Kisaki face.

"It couldn't possible be..." [Name] spoke, looking outside.

"It's referring to the storm that's happening now. That means whoever intended us to find this, has been and may still be watching us." Kisaki confirmed.
