A few weeks passed and soon, it was the end of October.
After overhearing a conversation between Ron Weasley and his friends about Hermione Granger and her running away with tears in her eyes, Estelle followed the brunette, which led her to the girls lavatories.
"Granger?"
"What do you want Malfoy?" Hermione simply replied, her voice still shaking from the earlier crying, expecting to be made fun of by the blonde.
"I wanted to make sure that you're okay. What Weasley said was very impolite and not true. I mean, you are a lot more intelligent than him, so it could be his jealousy speaking. Don't let him bring you down." Estelle then explained, to which Hermiones cabin door opened, wrapping the witch into an unexpected hug, which Estelle hesitantly returned, not being used to that kind of affection.
"Thank you. I'm not sure I want to go back though." The other girl told her.
"Don't worry, I'll bring your schoolwork later. Oh and could you maybe not tell anyone about this, I'm not supposed to walk around without my brother or his friends."
"My lips are sealed."
As soon as Hermione said that, Estelle exited the bathroom and went to her next class, which was potions with Professor Snape.
✨magical time skip✨
After finishing all of her classes, Estelle swiftly sneaked away from Crabbe and Goyle to bring Hermione the work she had missed. Luckily Slytherin and Gryffindor had shared all their classes that day.
When she returned, it was time for dinner, which was special due to the fact that it was Halloween. Instead of the usual menu, the house tables were mostly filled with typical sweets like lemon drops and a lot of chocolate. Whilst Draco seemed like he couldn't get enough, Estelle only took a few and stuck to the usual food.
She was about to eat a potato wedge, when suddenly Professor Quirrell, their DADA teacher, stormed into the great hall, telling everyone about a troll in the dungeons. Panic spread almost immediately, which was only stopped when the headmaster instructed everyone what to do.
In the end, Estelle found herself being led back to the Slytherin common room by a prefect and thinking of a way to warn Hermione about the troll without leaving her brothers side, who was walking next to her.
"Why do we have to go to our common room? The troll is literally in the dungeons and so is our common room? Dumbledore must really dislike our house." She thought out loud, mostly speaking to Blaise, who was walking in front of her.
"Good point. Maybe he'll have more time to admire Potter if we all die." He told her, to which she nodded, mouthing a 'yeah'.
When she saw Potter and Weasley sneaking towards the girl lavatories, the blonde relaxed, knowing they would warn Hermione. She returned to the Slytherin common room along with the other students, luckily without an encounter with a troll.
Although she had already gotten used to Pansy Parkinson's snores, Estelle had a hard time falling asleep. She deeply hoped that Potter and Weasley wouldn't be too incompetent to get out of the situation alive. Slowly, her eyelids finally got heavier and Estelle drifted into a deep slumber.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next few weeks were not very interesting for Estelle. She had to do a lot of studying and, because of Crabbe and Goyle, couldn't meet up with Cedric. She hated the fact that Draco wanted to control her and what she was doing all the time. She knew he only wanted her best, but it started to get annoying.
Sometimes she was able to escape her brothers circumstances, just like now.
She was sitting in the library to do some research for a transfiguration essay, but mostly because she knew Crabbe and Goyle would never enter the library. They probably didn't even know what a library was.
Her reading process was disturbed by a familiar voice.
"Hi, Estelle! I have a question, could you quickly help me please?" Hermione Granger, who had entered with Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, asked her.
"Granger. What do you need help with?" she answered, looking up from her book.
"Do you...uh...do you happen to know about um...Nicholas Flamel?" Harry Potter, surprising to Estelle, asked, after Hermione had given him a light push, probably to encourage him.
"The philosophers stone was made by Nicholas Flamel, he's an alchemist. He has celebrated his 665th birthday last year. That's because the owner of the stone is immortal. You can get more detailed information about him from the book over there." She explained, pointing at a nearby shelf.
"Immortal" Ron Weasley muttered.
"That means you don't die." Estelle told him.
"I know what it means, but its absolutely crazy." he replied, seeming a bit offended.
"Thank you." Harry said.
"No problem. I'm glad now that I know I'm not the only person who reads the text on the chocolate frog cards." She smiled, thinking she had found more people similar to her.
"What?" the three Gryffindors exclaimed at the same time, earning a "shhh" from Madam Pince.
"Isn't that the reason you asked me? I thought you were interested in that, because Nicholas Flamel is mentioned in Dumbledores card and I'm pretty sure every collector has like 15 of him." she explained, starting to get a bit confused.
Ron and Harry's mouths were still agape whilst Hermione seemed like she was looking for words.
"How do you pay attention to such small details?" The brunette asked Estelle.
"It can help in very important situations. Any time I have something with text, I read it through. I don't really have anything else to do. Oh, would you look at the time! I need to go, I'll see you guys tomorrow!" She quickly excused herself, deciding it was best to return to her brothers goons before her father heard about her 'escape'.
As she walked past the trio and towards the exit, Harry couldn't take his eyes off of her.
Hi
Very sorry for the late update!
I've decided to shorten the first few years a lot, because I think it won't be that interesting to read
Do you have any wishes for the future of this story?
Happy Easter (was not intentional to post today but I'll take it lmao)
