Chapter 2

The scream held pure fear and some pain, i contemplated what i should do because on one end if i got caught using my "Quirk" i'd be in serious trouble,not like they could catch me though.On the other hand i already said that i wont be listening to the laws here because some were just really stupid,so i went with saving this person from whatever they are screaming at. i jump up to the top of the building i was standing by and start jumping the buildings, heading towards where i heard the scream from when i hear a loud bang and a child scream after the loud sound, i know that was nothing good so i ran faster reaching the alleyway were i hear screaming and crying coming from, looking down from the building i see a child around 4-5 years old being manhandled by one of the five men that were there, looking around i saw a dead body of a woman figuring that this was the childs mom.Looking back i see they have something metal pressed up against the kids head to make the child be quiet as to not alert anyone more, i jump down silently and walk over to the body while conceiling my presence and inspect the deceased woman lying on the floor, there was a hole in here head that didnt go to far but had a metal sphere inside, this was what killed her, looking back to the gang I inspect the weapon from a distance and decide thats where the metal sphere had come from and seeing it pressed up against the childs head did not make me happy.

Sneaking up to the nearest villian i quickly chopped the back of their neck, the body fell to the ground revealing me behind it, the villians acted fast one of them throwing a punch to my face which I lazily caught and now having a grip on that villian, I threw him behind me essentially knocking him out when he hit the wall the leader, the one with the child in his hands tells the rest to stay back and then threatens me by pushing the gun harder into the small childs head and telling me hes going to shoot,though i didn't fully understand i knew that if he activated that thing it would kill the kid.Acting fast i ran around all of them at almost top speed knocking them out at what looked like the same time but it was all individually,the child fell to the ground with the man that was holding them which now i could i dentify the child as a girl,walking over to the child carefully but quickly as i could hear loud sounds coming closer which ment the heros were coming.I pick up the little girl not fully knowing why i wasn't leaving the little girl for the heros to deal with, the girl dosn't struggle at all but holds me tight thanking me over and over again i quiet the girl down and jump up onto the rooftop getting out of the scene just as the cops and heros arrive.

Jumping down from building 71, i walk around the small part of the town which isn't much,but but still pretty crowded.I was now looking for a job because i had a child....i still dont know why i didn't leave the child to the heros,so now i had to support not just me but this child too, looking around i spot a pretty sketchy looking parkinglot that seems to have people going in and out of from the back, i know it wasn't a good idea to take a child into somewhere with potential villians but i couldn't just leave her outside,sighing i walk up to the building and go around to the back and follow a guy that opens a hidden door and walks in,going into the place there was a line of people though the line wasn't long and it only took me 10 minutes to get to the front where i was greeted by a large man with wolf ears..."Hi there do you know where i could find a potential job or what this place is exactly?" i ask, he gives me the weirdest look telling me that this was an underground fighting rink and that i could get paid for fighting if i won a fight,it sounded easy enough so i questioned where i could sign up,"you just need to sign this sheet of paper here" he says trying not to look at me while handing me a clipboard with a sign up sheet on it and a pen, i thank him and walk over to a corner to fill it out.Sitting down slowly and placing the sleeping child in my lap i start filling out the required questions, it asks me the basics like my name, age, occupation, etc it then asks for my fighter name which i didn't have to put much thought into it as i just decided i would use my old Anbu Code name-Hound/Dog.I filled out the rest information after a good 15 minutes of thinking how to come up with things for a few of the answers but in the end i got it done picked up the still sleeping child, got up, and handed the clipboard to the guy "when would i be able to fight?" i ask, wanting to the latest time as i really needed the money because i only had the old currency of money which was from Konoha not the type of money that i needed in this dimension...."tomarrow at 5 in the morning" the guy responded with a gruff voice and then shooing me away so he could get back to his work.

i walk out of the place and roam around the streets for some time waiting for the child to wake up.An Hour later the little girl stirs awake,opening her blood red eyes to be met with my lonley dark black one, the girls eyes widen for a second but she quickly calms down and asks in a quiet stuttering voice "A-are you the H-hero that saved m-me adn mama?...where is mama?" at the end she starts tearing up looking around for her mother frantically and starts struggling in my hold, i tighten my grip on her and try to soothe her into a calmer state once she was calmer and willing to let me speak i spoke "For the first question i am the one the saved you but no i am not a hero or a villian,i was just passing by and decided to help out" she looked at me with her blood red eyes and asked once again "wheres mama?...." i look at her sadly knowing this is going to be hard to hear for her but i knew i couldn't just not tell as that wouldn't be fair so i suger coated it instead telling her but not fully telling her "Some angels came down after she got hurt and took her up into the sky so she can watch over you forever..."Her eyes sparkle at the thought of angels but look around once again "you cant see her but shes here she says she loves you" the girls eyes tear up and she starts bawling her eyes out saying shes never going to see her "mama" again and that she wants her "mama" back, i couldn't do anything but watch as she cried to herself, a couple minutes later she finally stopped wailing and looked up to me sniffiling with teary eyes and asked another question that i really didn't know how to answer "whos going to take care of me....a-and read me bedtime storys at n-night?.." her bottom lip trembles threatening me with tears, i reply as fast as i can and without thinking which i usually dont do but i panic with children, especially crying children "im going to take care of you ok?" inside i was panicing having no idea what i was doing "so your my new papa?..." my eyes widen and i start to get sweaty not knowing how to answer but knowing that i could only say one thing......"Yes, im your new papa...and papas going to take care of you no matter what..."
