Louis POV:

The school year is close to ending an I haven't talked to Harry in five months. I miss him really bad. I never came out because he refused to talk to me. I am still dating Ginger but she is getting angry with me for missing so much of her things because of football.

I tell her that I'm sorry but she doesn't believe me for some reason.

I come home after practice, its Thursday and we have a game tomorrow.

I walk in and throw my bag on the floor but a maid quickly picks it up, "How was school, Mister Louis?"

"Its school" I say obviously.

She nods, "You're right, Mister Louis" she says and scurries away.

"You're mean" says Evan coming over to me.

I roll my eyes, "I don't care" I tell him.

"Think you're ready for your game tomorrow?" he asks me walking with me into the kitchen.

"Yeah, I think we will be ready" I say and swing open the kitchen door.

"Louis, I'm glad you're home, son" says my mum smiling, "Sit."

I walk in slowly, nervous about what's about to happen, "What did I do?"

My mum chuckles, "Nothing bad, I promise" she smiles and then turns to Evan, "Could you go get my husband, please?"

Evan nods and walks quickly away.

"What's going on, mum?" I ask nervous.

"Wait until your father-"

"Step" I correct her.

"Step father comes in" she says.

A few minutes later, my step dad comes in smiling and sits down next to my mum.

"So what is going on? Please someone tell me" I say getting anxious.

"Well, something came in the mail that said it was for Mister Tomlinson" my step dad begins.

"I figured it was for me so I opened it. It wasn't me Mister Tomlinson... it was you Mister Tomlinson" he smiles and slides a envelope across the table to me.

"Me?" I ask and they nod. I pull out the letter from the already opened envelope.

Dear Mr. Louis Tomlinson,

I am proud to inform you that on Friday, representatives from the Doncaster Rovers to watch you play in your schools football/soccer game. We have seen videos of you and your best plays and we want to see if you are Rovers material.

Please play a normal game on Friday and don't let the pressure get to you. We want to see how you do against your hardest opponent, the Hornets. This will see if you qualify to possibly be on the Doncaster Rovers.

We look forward to watching you play Friday night. You will hear from us in about a week. Thank you.

I smile and look up after reading it, "They are sending representatives from the Doncaster Rovers!" I exclaim.

My mum and step dad smile and nod happily.

I can hardly sit still today in any of my classes. I decide not to tell anyone about the Rovers not even Ginger or Zayn. I don't want to somehow jinx myself.

At practice, I'm the first one out and I practice on my shooting.

"Wow! You're here earlier than usual" says Coach Jefferson coming out of the locker rooms followed by a few members from the team.

I turn around, "Just practice extra on my shooting for tonight... big game" I say, knowing it means more to me than him.

"Yeah, but we'll get them, right?" he says and passes me another ball.

"I hope... I really do" I say softly and shoot the ball hard and fast into the empty net.

"What's getting to you, kid? You aren't usually this worried for games" he says.

"I don't know... I guess I'm nervous" I say honestly.

"Well don't worry. Its just another game, right?"

I nod even though it isn't. My whole football career rides on this one game. If I do horribly, I may never be able to play for the Rovers. If I do really good, I could be leaving school early to travel with them.

"Hey, mate, pass me the ball" calls Zayn running over.

I kick him the ball and he runs up close and shoots it in the net, "Nice one!" I call to him.

He gives me a thumbs up and demands for someone to get in the goal.

At the end of practice, I take a ice bath to relax my muscles and get ready for tonight.

"An ice bath? Are you crazy?" asks Zayn, wiping beads of sweat from his forehead.

I chuckle, "I just want to be the best I can tonight" I tell him.

"Why? Its just another game" he tells me.

I nod, "You're right" I say and stand up, ice and water dripping off my body. I step out and dry off before changing into my uniform.

"So are you ready?" asks Coach.

I look around the locker room at the guys standing around, stretching, talking, texting. I nod, "Yeah, lets win this game."

"Alright guys! Go out there and kill those hornets!" yells coach and everyone cheers.

We all line up and start chanting a pregame ritual/chant that we usually do.

"LETS WIN!" I yell at the end and we all run through the tunnel and I burst through a banner that the cheerleaders made.

The crowd goes wild and we start warming up with quick passes and shots.

"Captains!" yells the referee.

I nod over at Zayn and we meet up and walk to the half line.

"You know the drill boys" says the old man.

Zayn and I exchange handshakes with the other team.

"Ok, home team calls the coin, heads or tails when its in the air" says another referee.

I nod and I take the call since I'm captain and Zayn's only co-captain.

The ref flips the coin high in the air, "Heads" I say and he lets it fall in the grass.

He picks it up and examines it, "Heads" he says and looks at us, "Defending or offending first?"

"Offending" I tell him.

"Very well than, yellow is defending, blue is offending" he says and we walk back to the benches.

The team is all sat down and listening to coach talk about what the strategy is going to be for tonights game.

"What do we have?" asks coach.

"Offensive first" I tell him. The team cheers and coach tells us our usual game plan, "If you don't know what to do or get stuck, pass it to Louis."

The referee blows his whistle, signaling for the players to go out onto the field.

"Alright hands in mates" says Zayn and he puts his hand out.

Everyone gathers around and stacks their hands on top of his. I put my hand on top of everyone's, "Win on three; Win on three! One! Two! Three!" I yell.

"WIN!" everyone yells and the crowd cheers as we take the field.
