A/N: HAPPY CRIMUS. IT'S CRISTMIN. MERRY CRISIS. MERRY CRISTLER- it's 2 days after when I posted this but teehee-
6:00 AM. December 25th. Mary jumped from her bed and ran into the living room to see the tree had lots of presents underneath. She grinned and ran back into her bedroom to brush her hair and put on a silk purple robe. "Today's the day! It's finally here! Christmas!!" she thought.
As quickly as she could, she ran to the lower floor to see Meru, who was snacking on chocolate from her stocking. "Babe, what are you doing?" Mary asked.
"Eating chocolate," Meru replied.
Mary sighed and went to hug her girlfriend, not caring if someone saw them together. "Speaking of which, we got presents in our dorm. Are you coming by?" she asked.
"For real? Mhmm!"
Both girls stood up and ran back to Mary's dorm where Emma was now awake, on the couch, and she was holding a wolf loaf. Meru grinned and went to hug both of them, petting Rodger. He purred and licked at her hand. "Merry Christmas, you two. Also, Mary. Don't think we heard you up at 6 AM this morning," Emma said, snickering.
Rodger howled, which was his way of laughing. Klaus tiredly walked in, holding a cup of hot tea. Tether was behind him, floating upside down. "Is everyone up?" Tether asked.
"A certain lemur wanted to open presents-"
Mary blushed in embarrassment. "Hey! It's been happening for 12 years now! Ever since I was little, I was never a person for sleeping. So bare with me. Anyways, now that we're all awake, can we open gifts?" she asked.
All Emma could do was nod as Rodger transformed into himself. He wore a tank top and sweatpants, his wolf tail swaying. Everyone rushed to the tree and began to open their gifts. New clothing for thanksgiving, winter, summer and spring breaks, art supplies for Emma, a syringe and books for Klaus, science supplies for Tether, some chew toys and archery materials for Rodger, and fabrics for Mary. Meru watched the four teenagers and serpent demon with a grin, sitting on the couch in a comfortable onesie. This, unknown to the five people, was going to be a long night.
...
"That's all of them. I see no more gifts," Meru said as he checked the tree from top to bottom.
Emma lay back on Klaus's lap, tired from opening presents. He ran a hand through her hair, kissing her forehead. "So what now?" Rodger asked.
"Well, there's a Christmas dinner going on tonight in the cafeteria. All of the tables are set up like it was when it was Klaus and my first day at Shonen," Mary replied.
Tether instantly flew to Klaus's room and brought out clothes. Not his uniform, but comfy clothes. "Also, it says there's no dress code for holidays. So take a break from the uniforms. Wear sweats and slippers if you want," he said with a fanged grin.
Emma and Rodger rushed into their rooms and took out their sweatshirts and sweatpants, as well as comfy shoes. Emma put a turtleneck over her outfit, not wanting anyone to ask about the tattoos, even though they saw them during the fight with Sally. They came out minutes later, all ready for the day. "Well, what are we waiting for?" Meru asked.
"To the-"
"Oh shit. Forgot to say. Classes start in 4 minutes," Tether said.
"NICE WAY TO RUIN CHRISTMAS, DUMBASS!!" Klaus yelled, bonking the demon.
Tether winced. But the group left the dorm and went to their classes. However, there wasn't a need to. Why? No teacher assigned anything. It was Christmas, for crying out loud! But at the end of the day, Emma saw Klaus with another girl. Cassidy Coulter! She seemed into him, pinning the poor boy against a locker. Emma stayed silent and hid nearby. "Why hang out with that fire-breathing girl? You can have me. I've got everything she doesn't have. So dump her and come with me," Cassidy said, getting too close to Klaus.
The bookworm slid away and walked to the door where the dorm stairs were. "Sorry, but I'm not interested in egotistical women. I like mine just the way she is," he replied, showing a bracelet on his wrist.
Emma looked at hers and remembered that it was the bracelet they made during their trip to New Zealand and at their campsite. She kissed a bead, wiping a tear. She was glad that Klaus still wanted her, despite how she always hides things from him and Tether. With one final glance at a jealous Cassidy, Emma made her way upstairs to Cassandra's dorm. She was drinking cocoa with Kurta by the fireplace, her head on his shoulder. "When will you two get together?" Killua asked.
Both the redhead and blonde boy's faces went red and they turned away, flustered. From there until night, it was games, dancing, and food. Indeed, it was a good Christmas.
