Alastor wiped the tears off his face, looking at Lucifer. The King's gaze was soft and understanding, with a hint of concern in that malicious yellow gaze of his.
Alastor kissed Lucifer quickly, smiling wider, his eyes who were always cold and glaring to others, were soft and loving, like a small puppy who was attached to its owner.
Lucifer's head suddenly jerked to the sliding glass doors that lead to the balcony, his gaze turning from soft and understanding to narrowed and cold, the King's yellow stare glaring at the doors, as though their had been something there.
"Lucifer? What's wrong?" Alastor spoke softly, as he was a little tired from the fight they had just had. Blood still trickled lightly down Alastor's clothed shoulders, where Lucifer had dug his claws into Alastor's flesh.
"Nothing, Alastor, I just heard something like wing-beats outside the doors." Lucifer said, not looking back at Alastor as he spoke, his eyes still glued to the glass doors like a cat's eyes locked on a juicy mouse.
Alastor had a slight worrying feeling, as though they had been watched while they had hugged and were not caring about anything else in their surrounding area.
Lucifer suddenly snarled and leaped away from Alastor, slamming open the sliding glass doors. The door frames shuttered at the sudden force upon them and Alastor nearly face-planted on the floor.
"We were being fucking watched, I knew it.." Lucifer said coldly, bending over and rising back up with a blackened feather in his gloved fingertips.
"What do you mean? That could have been just a raven feather." Alastor said, walking over to Lucifer and examining the feather closer.
"It's to damn big to be a crow or raven feather.." Lucifer snapped, glaring at the small object with suspicion.
"Lucifer, calm-"
"I'm not going to calm fucking down! I freaking the hell out right now Alastor! Someone was watching us!" Lucifer yelled, turning to Alastor with a blood-red gaze.
Alastor shrank back, clearly disturbed by Lucifer's sudden outrage.
Lucifer seemed to notice Alastor had grown a little farther apart from him and sighed, throwing the feather aside, walking over to Alastor.
"I'm sorry, Al. It's just, nerve wracking to see a feather the size of a demon's face.." Lucifer said, a hint of worry along with his usual monotone voice.
He seized Alastor's arm in his left gloved hand and looked Alastor straight in his crimson eyes, his gaze turning back to their softer tone.
"Shall we go on a walk, darling~?" Lucifer said, the grasp he had on Alastor's arm loosening as Lucifer became more calm.
"Of course." Alastor said in his usual cheery yet cold tone, his devilish grin never-ending.
***
Lucifer held Alastor tight as they walked through the streets of Hell, stopping now and then at the markets crammed together along the winding, cold streets.
The shop-keepers usually became nervous at their sudden appearance and demons along the streets quickly ran the other direction or hid in ally-ways and markets, waiting until Lucifer and Alastor had passed before carrying on with their normal hellish duties.
Lucifer then stopped in his tracks as they reached a fork in the hellish streets. One led to a path along a haunted yet comforting woodland while another led to another town in Pentagram City.
