Chp 21: A Heavy Burden

YN POV

It hasn't been long since Gaara and his team told us what happened at the 5 Kages summit. Turn's out Sasuke was fighting them while Danzo made a run. But if I had to guess, he must be after Danzo. Right now, Kakashi, Sai's clone and I are going after Sakuras group while Naruto and Yamato will be heading back to the leaf. It gotten worst for him after hearing more about Sasuke so he had to stay behind.

Kakashi: Sai, how close are they?

Sai: Not far. But they stopped for some reason.

YN: Sakura must be making her move before going alone.

Sai: We must hurry. Its becoming a dire situation. (Realizes.) She got us, please hurry!

Suddenly Sai's clone started to collapse into a black ink.

Kakashi: I'm impressed Sakura.

YN: Kakashi sensei, if we can find them then they might give us the direction to where Sakura went.

Kakashi: (Nods.) Agree. We better hurry.

Not too long, we found them on the ground but no sign of Sakura. Kakashi and I went to check their conditions.

YN: They're fine but they won't be able to get up for a while.

Kakashi approaches Kiba and tries to wake him up.

Kakashi: Hey.

Kiba: (Wakes up.) Huh...?

YN: Where's Sakura?

Kakashi: You were going after Sasuke right? So where did Sakura go?

Kiba: (Mutters.) N-north...towards two o'clock....about 1 kilometer...

YN: She must've caught you guys good with a powerful drug she made from aunt Tsunade.

Kakashi: At least we know where she is right now.

YN: You go on ahead, I'll catch up as soon as I treat them.

Kakashi nods and goes ahead while I carry them one by one to the side of the road before giving them some medicine that'll weaken the drug.

YN: Out of all the reckless Naruto does. Sakura's reckless is much worst.

Kiba: (Mutters.) Should've listen to Sai.

YN: I'm pretty sure Akamaru would.

Kiba: Huh!?

YN: Now's not the time, can you watch over them? Kakashi will need help if he's going against Sasuke.

Kiba: Fine, but watch your back...If Sai is right, we're no match against Sasuke alone...

YN: Don't worry, I'll manage.

Kiba: (Nods.) Good luck.

I nod before throwing a kunai far enough as I start running. Soon I teleport ahead in order to catch up.

Time skip Kakashi POV

I made it to the bridge and at a nick of time, I save Sakura from Sasuke killing her with his chidori. I couldn't believe it, he really meant to kill her.

Kakashi: How you've fallen Sasuke.

Sasuke tries to kick me but I dodge it and push him far enough with a kick before catching him with a wire but unfortunately it was a substitution.

Sasuke: Hm, one after another.

Kakashi: Sakura, you intended to kill Sasuke yourself didn't you?

She looks down admitting it but I comfort her by telling her that she doesn't have to bear the burden, I was the leader of team 7 after all. I did my best to keep everything like it was before but it was not enough.
