He grabbed my hand. He grabbed my hand and we ran. We ran until we could no more, and we found a park bench and we sat down laughing and all out of breath. I leaned into his chest and he played with my hair. I slowly, and happily, fell asleep in his arms.
When I woke up, I was in my bed. Eli must have carried me home before cerfew. I smiled. I grabbed my phone and I had a text from him. It said, "I love you. Took you home so you didn't get in trouble. Text me in the morning. Love you." God I loved him.
I went back to sleep so I wouldn't be too tired in the morning. When I woke up, I texted Eli back. I said, "Hey babe, love you so much." I started to get dressed and ready to go to school.
First one on the bus as usual, I sat with my back against the window and crossed my legs as I put my ear buds in. Twenty minutes and 10 people later, Eli got on the bus. I turned off my music. He came by my seat and slid his hand down my back as he sat down and kissed me.
I smiled at him. "Hey," I said
"Hey," he replied, smiling back.
I leaned into him and he stroked my hair. "Thank you," I whispered.
"What for?" he asked.
"Everything. For you. For last night. For everything. I truly love you, Eli."
"I love you too, Tesla," Eli told me as he brought his forehead to mine and then lifted slightly to bring his soft lips to my head.
I must have fallen asleep again because the next thing I knew, Eli was helping me up because we were at school.
