I woke up at 10:30 the next morning. My parents would already be at their golf outing for my dad's business. Yet, for some reason I smelled pancakes.

I sat up and looked around my room. Eli was gone. I went downstairs and there he was, shirtless, making blueberry pancakes.

"Hello, darling," Eli smiled at me.

"Morning. What's all this?" I asked.

"I decided to make my girl her favorite breakfast," Eli said putting 3 pancakes onto a plate.

"Oh," I said smiling.

Eli brought two plates of pancakes over to the dining table. He slipped his arm around my waist and pulled me into a kiss. I pulled away and Eli pulled out my chair for me. We sat eating in silence for a few minutes.

"So," Eli started. "I think we have some things to talk about..."

I took a drink of my orange juice before replying. "I agree."

"Do you... Do you regret—"

"Oh my god, no!" I inturrupted. "Nothing in my life had ever felt so right before."

"Oh. Okay, good. Me too," Eli breathed. "Now that we got that out of the way, are you on the pill?"

"Yes, I am. But did we... did we use protection?"

"Yeah. I threw it away before we left."

"Okay, good."

We finished our pancakes, smiling at each other the whole time. When we were done, we decided to watch a movie.

"Put a shirt on," I said giggling and moving my hands along his abs.

"Alrighty," Eli said picking me up and twirling me around. He put me down and I ran around behind him. Eli bent down and I jumped onto his back.

Eli and I went upstairs. He dropped me onto my bed and picked up his shirt. After he put it on, we went back downstairs and started our movie. I leaned into his chest and he stroked my hair.

When my parents came home, Eli had to leave. I kissed him goodbye and went up to my room. I called Isabel.

"Hello?" she answered.

"Iz!" I yelled.

"Calm down, girl. What is it?"

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Now? Nothing. Why? Do you want to do something?"

"Yes. Mall?"

"I'll pick you up in 10," she said then hung up.

I was showered and ready in 30 minutes (Isabel was always late). She showed up 5 minutes later.

"Sorry, girl. My parents wouldn't let me go," she said as I got into the car.

We drove to the mall. "Lunch?" asked Isabel.

"Of course," I said. "Miro's Pizza?"

"You know me too well," she giggled, grabbing my arm.

We walked in and ordered. "Spill," Isabel said.

"How'd you know?" I asked.

"You're my best friend. I know when you have something on your mind. What is is?"

"It's about Eli..," I started.

"Oh no, honey. Did he break up with you? Because I will break him if he hurt you!" Isabel said.

"No! Iz! Nothing like that!"

"Then what?"

"We... Well we," I looked around and then whispered, "We had sex."

Isabel almost spit out her soda. "You what?!?!?!" she yelled.

"Iz! Shh!"

"You what!?!?" she whispered. "Tes! We're 17!"

"I know, okay? But it felt right. We love each other!"

"Tesla," she said shaking her head. "Are you sure about this?"

"Yes. Fully."

"Okay. Then I'm happy for you guys!"

The pizza came and we ate. We talked about Prom and our dresses and plans.

"So?" Isabel asked. "Barnes and Noble?"

"You know me so well."

We paid and then walked over to the book store. We spent hours browsing and I felt so happy to have my best friend be with me all the way and be as obsessed with books as I was. When we left, we had bought 3 books each.

I invited Isabel to sleep over and we spent the entire time talking about our favorite celebrities, gossiping, and watching our favorite movies and TV shows. She went home the next morning and I thanked her for everything.

"Bye," Isabel said.

"Bye. Thank you!" I replied.

"Aw, what for?"

"Everything," I said.

She pulled me into a long hug.

"I'll see you tomorrow. Love you, girl," Isabel said.

"Bye, girl. Love you too," I said closing the door.
